Hello, I've never posted before but I had a miscarriage last wednesday at 11 and half weeks. It was all quite dramatic and I ended up miscarrying naturally In a&e

After a few days at home I started to feel a bit better but since Yesterday I just feel so sad and hopeless. I am not sure whether it is my hormones changing but I just can't stop crying. When does it start to get easier 🙁

Also i keep on thinking the bleeding is about to stop but then it starts with fresh blood again, is this normal?

Sorry for your loss.I had a miscarriage at almost 12 weeks. I think you just need to allow yourself time to grieve and physically recover. I found I was ok after a few weeks, but the period around the due date was really difficult. We went on holiday as I had a feeling it was going to be hard, and that's when we conceived my son! I found it really helped to talk to other people - I was shocked how common miscarriage is, but really helped by other people's happy endings after a similar loss.

I think the bleeding is normal but check with a midwife if unsure

Im so so sorry. Flowers
I had a miscarriage in a&e at 12 weeks and it was horrific, so I really feel for you. You'll probably feel up and down for a while yet. It's a really sad thing that's happened, so don't feel bad for crying or feeling down. Do you have a partner or friends who you can talk to?

The bleeding can also be on-going for a few weeks. Did you have an ultrasound after your MC?
Sending love x

Thank you ladies. It does help to know others have been through the same thing and got through it. It's something which no one really talks about so when it happens to you it can feel like a very lonely place.

I did have a ultrasound and it was all clear.

My partner has been amazing and very supportive I am also very lucky to have great friends and family.

I think your right I need to allow myself time to be sad. Although we have lots to look forward to - we get married in two weeks and then honeymoon!

How long did you leave before trying again. Part of me wants to start straight away but the other half of me is scared to try again

Xx

I'm so sorry for your loss. My mmc was 3 weeks ago, and I don't think I'm ready for trying again just yet. We've decided to wait until one af at least. I don't think there's a right or wrong answer, it is a totally personal choice.

Congratulations on the wedding, things to look forward to definitely.

Ahhh congrats on getting married! The honeymoon will give you some time to be together, which I think can be important after a loss.

With your ultrasound being clear I wouldn't worry too much with the bleeding, it can take a few weeks to stop.

It's great that you have people that you can talk to. I only told a couple of my friends what happened, but luckily they were happy for me to talk about it which really helped. I can be difficult when others don't understand what you've been through though so you can always chat on here too.

I'm not able to try again yet due to large cysts found after my MC, but I would definitely be trying if I could. I think it's a personal choice and depends on whether you feel ready. Like Dancing said, theres no right or wrong answer x
