Does this sound like I'm miscarrying?

Hi

Hope I'm posting in the right place, I had a mmc a couple of years ago, followed by surgical management so I don't know what a natural miscarrige feels like is that makes sense?

I think I am about 8 weeks, I had a scan a week and a bit ago, as I had had cramping, I measured about 5 days less than I thought I should be (I'm good with dates, had used OPK and BBT and watched CM so pretty sure when I ovulated) hospital told me not to worry as prob had dates wrong but I don't think I do. We saw a heartbeat too.

I've read a lot about measuring small just before loss, almost like baby slows down before it dies, tried to put that out of my head.

Today I have noticed pinkish discharge, with definite blood flecks in it, then I started getting pains, almost like the kind of sharp pain you get when there is a stone in your shoe but in my lower abdomen, I've also noticed a drop off in symptoms in the last week, mentioned it at booking apt this week and was told not to worry, every one is different but this is the only warning I had before MMC.

Does it sound to you like I am about to miscarry? I'm sick with worry that I may be :( Hospital don't have an appointment for a scan for a week so can't get checked :(

I don't know what to say. I know many women who had your symptoms and everything was fine. I also know others who had a MC (me included). I guess one way you could find out earlier is to have your HCG levels checked. If you're in pain and bleeding, surely they'll bring scan forward? I don't know what area you live in. I feel for you, it's a horrible situation. I have my fingers crossed for you xxx

Hi,
I think it varies from women to women but I've recently lost my baby at 9 weeks and experienced different symptoms so i guess thats a positive.
I started of with spotting of brown blood for 2 days and then the third day began lightly bleeding and the last day (4th) it felt like I was having my period, and the pain and stepped up dramatically, it was that night I passed a lot of clots along with my baby and very very heavy bleeding. From what I've read from many women, it seems bleeding is something that occurs before hand and doctors tend to know if you will miscarry or have done so, try to take some comfort in them saying you don't need to worry. They seemed to be very touchy when it came to my situation and automatically told me it was a miscarriage.

As for the pain, I had lower stomach pain through most of the pregnancy but thats a sign of early pregnancy and i was fine through that. I think the best thing for you right now is to relax and try not to worry too much for yourself and your baby.
Of course this is all going by my experience over the last couple of weeks.

I hope everything goes well for you, It's hell going through miscarrige let alone the uncertainty. Best wishes xx
