Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

MC number 3, uterine septum

DH and I have been TTC #1 for just over 2 years. I had medical management for my third MC yesterday, in hospital so the pregnancy could be sent away for genetics testing. To be honest, we were waiting for this to happen ever since I got the BFP.

I had a 3D ultrasound a few months ago which showed I have a partial bicornate uterus with a septum which is about 2 cm long. I'm going to ask to have the septum removed when I go to the recurrent miscarriage clinic.

Just wondering if anyone has been through similar and then had a successful pregnancy?

I know hormones will still be playing their part but I just feel sad and so very tired of this whole TTC process. Feel like the lives of everyone around me are moving on whilst DH and I are just stuck.

My good friend had a heart shaped uterus but had 3 DC and 2 miscarriages. They offered her a chance to laser the uterus (I think thats what they offered) but she refused as she was worried about side effects. She then had another successful pregnancy at 41.

Also many women here have had experience of the Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic with some good advice.
Sorry about your loss and big hugs. Flowers

Emily.
Sorry again to see you on these threads. Forgive me if this is an intrusion at all and feel free to ignore, but in your mc has anyone said that your babies were trying to implant into the septum?
The only reason I ask is because at my first scan for my first mc the sonographer (in between telling me no hb, not right size for dates etc) mentioned in a really offhand way that I had a heart shaped uterus, but then the nurse stepped in and said that wouldn't have had an impact on that pregnancy as it was clearly implanted in the right hand side uterine wall. So maybe worth getting your hands on your notes if you don't have them just to establish what they were seeing.
I hope the recurrent miscarriage clinic helps.
There are so many stories of it being small issues that have easy fixes, I really hope that is the case for you.
My cousin had a mc, a set of twins stillborn at 22 wks and another Mmc before going on to have her two perfect babies (and pregnancies), I reckon if any one human being can go through so much to get her family then we can too. I hope you are being kind to yourself.

Thank you very much for your replies ladies.

Miami I'm not sure where they implanted, I will try asking when I go to the clinic. At the moment I'm kind of pinning all my hopes on the septum being the problem, but obviously there's a chance it could be something else. I guess we shall just have to wait and see.
