I'm on the cerelle pill however recall missing a few a while back. My previous period last month was unusually light. Since then, I was worried I was pregnant due to my breasts being unusually sensitive and painful. A day or so ago I started what I believe to have been my period. It was a bit late but the fact I got it relieved me. However this morning in my pad were too clots. They were flesh like, coiled up and when unrolled were fleshy sheets almost. Im sorry about this being graphic. I have pictures, and I have kept them in water. However as I never knew for sure if I was pregnant, is it worth worrying? I have been in pain also. Can the doctor do anything? Im very worried and just in need of some advice and a second opinion

If you're in pain that is more or different to any normal period pain, definitely go to your GP. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along, but I've certainly had similar clots in periods where I was definitely not pregnant. Hope you're OK.

Do a pregnancy test, it stays positive for a few weeks after miscarriage. I had had 3 miscarriages and there was a lot of blood each timr much much more than a normal period. If test is positive then seek medical advice in negative nothing to worry about miscarriage wise.

Thank you for your reply. It is more painful than normal, however I understand through research that some periods can just be unusual. Fingers crossed that's all it is.

Oh and the clots were large, some even bigger than a hard boiled egg.

Probably not a miscarriage. It's not unusual to pass tissue like that sometimes. My periods are usually light and not painful, but every now and again I'll have a heavier period with tissue like that. They're not clots per se, just "chunkier" bits of uterine lining.

I sometimes get periods that are very heavy and pass similar things to the pics. Not to say yours isn't a miscarriage, but mine has never been. Just a heavy, painful period.

Thank you for your reply, yeah I agree I know things like that are not unusual in periods, starting to not be as worried now.
