Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

When to TTC again?

I was wondering what are people's thoughts and advice they've been given? I had a natural MC and was told 2-3 cycles which seems a long time given my age, and irregular cycles could be 6 months for me!

I was advised to wait a few months but equally told getting pregnant straight away would not to any harm at all, just makes dating harder. It took my 3 months to conceive again after my miscarriage so I think my body just allowed it when it was ready anyway. So sorry for your loss Flowers

Thanks....I'm not sure I'm there emotionally yet. But rather go with what feels right than putting a time on it. Sometimes my cycles can be 80 days, so not keen to wait for 3!!!

Congratulations, fingers crossed it will happen for us. I know your more fertile after MC , I'm keen not to miss any opportunity!!!

Fingers crossed for us!!! To be fair I'm happy to give my body a couple of weeks to recover and settle. Then I'm not going to be careful...not actively try as such.

Me and hubby are in our 30's can't bare thought of contraception...

Hi, I've had two miscarriages. First one I left it one cycle then started trying again and it took 4 months, second one I started trying again basically as soon as I stopped bleeding and fell pregnant straight away- I'm now 10 weeks pregnant.

Do what feels right for you

I ttc straight after my natural MC and got my bfp 4 weeks later. I now have my healthy beautiful DD asleep upstairs. It was fine, just a bit difficult for dating purposes as I hadn't had a period but an early scan at EPU sorted that. We had been ttc for over a year before that. The nurse at EPU who confirmed my MC told us that there was no harm in trying again if I was emotionally ready.

Hugs though it is hard and so daunting. I have just had a Mmc and we are not sure whether to ttc straight away or give my body and mind time to heal and this time round it has floored me physically much more than last time. Given my age and fertility issues I feel like time is running out for me though.

I'm hoping to take advantage to the peak in fertility following a miscarriage. I read some promising stats on it that gave me hope.

I will definitely wait to first cycle, as I want to let my body heal and eat healthily.

Good luck

Thanks all. I'm definitely discounting her 2/3 cycle suggestion then.

I hopefully will have a period soon but I'm not a standard cycle girl. I've been having reflexology so I've booked to see her next week. Then I will just go from there. And how I feel emotionally. I'm eating healthy and trying to just look after myself.

I'm so sorry for your losses ladies, I have found it very bewildering. I had such strong symptoms and felt exactly as I did when pregnant with my first so has really taken me by surprise. But need to take comfort from fact a couple of weeks a go I wasn't sure I could fall pregnant. Well I did and hopefully I can do it again!!!
