Trouble conceiving following a miscarriage

I've never done this before but wondered if anyone else had been in the same situation.
In November last year i suffered a missed miscarriage, it was only picked up at the 12 week scan, following this I had the surgical management of it. This was my second pregnancy, my first being sucessful and have a wonderful 2 year old.
With both pregnancies we caught quite quickly, within 2 months of trying. Following the miscarriage I waited for my periods to return to normal and we started trying again in January, it's now July and we haven't conceived. Has anyone else experienced the same problems following a miscarriage and in particular following surgical management of it?

Many thanks.

Not with surgical management but yes, I miscarried in March 2016 at 12 weeks (Mmc) and have only just conceived again. I really thought something was very different in my body after the mc. It's been a very difficult time and we had come to terms with the fact that we had missed our chance, but 16 months later here we are. Fingers crossed it sticks. I have no advice really, just keep trying?! The gp wasn't hugely helpful but I had all the fertility tests, I hear that the HyCoSy can help sometimes as it clears your tubes out a bit. Lovely. Maybe worth asking to be referred, although they might want to wait a bit depending on your age

Thanks for the reply. Its driving me insane and getting me down. I'm currently having the blood tests to check my hormones, I won't find out the results of these until the end of the month. I've made myself paranoid that the surgery has damaged me in some way. Fingers crossed everything is fine and it's just been bad timing. I'm 35.
Lovely news for you, I hope it all works out x

I'm 35 too. They will refer you to fertility or gynae if you've been trying for 6 months. I'd get down to gp and get the ball rolling. Can't hurt to have things looked at. I so hope things work out for you xx
