On fathers day and done a clearblue that said 2-3 WKS on the Wednesday after father's day. I stared bleeding lightly on and off two weeks ago. I had a scan last Tuesday that showed a 3mm sac and told to come back in a wk (today)scan showed a empty 9mm sac am going back next Tues again but have a medical management booked for next Wednesday and was given miscarriage information. My last period was between the 17th and 20th of may. Any chance of a ongoing pregnancy?

Hi Lady, I didn't want to leave your message unanswered. My maths isn't good - how many weeks should you have been when you had the second scan? Just over 7? I think they usually expect to see a heartbeat at 7 weeks, but I have read about other women occasionally not getting one picked up until later (e.g. if baby in tricky position). Have you had any more bleeding? Will you be getting another scan before medical management?

Hiya no happy outcome tale here sorry but I'm in the se boat, found out on father's day and had early reassurance scan last Monday but measured 5 weeks with no feral pole instead of 7 weeks. Started spotting yesterday and a bit heavier bleeding today. Never had a MC before, I'm really afraid. So unpredictable when it will happen and whether it will hurt. Have been reading the practical advice thread on here which has been useful. Sorry you're in this position and I hope your scan shows good news tomorrow x

And Ali I'm so sorry for your loss. That thread is really helpful - I wish I'd read it before my losses. Hopefully you have a straightforward time of it xxx

Be careful about miscarrying at home. I opted to do this but ended up with complications.

If you have any problems or pain that is excessive please please get yourself to A&E as soon as possible. Don't bother with GP go straight to hospital.

That's not to scare, you just to encourage you to get help should you need it. I tried to soldier on at home and made things a lot worse than they needed to be.

Flowers I'm sorry you are going through this.

Thanks sandy30 x nothing but bleeding so far. Crap isn't it, to understate it somewhat. I hope you have had some happiness since your losses x

Oh Lady, I'm so sorry. And regardless of how many kids you already have, you've just lost a unique little soul.

Medical management with a young baby would be tough so sounds like a good plan to wait. Do you have anyone who can look after your children if the miscarriage naturally starts before you go for surgical?

That's hard as you won't want to be away from your 4 month old but then again it will be hard looking after them if/when it happens naturally. I'm glad to hear your DH is on leave now although it's obviously going to be a crappy way to spend it :(

Hi Lady, good you have your DH at home now. I hope whichever way you miscarry it's over quickly x
