when should i take a test?

Hi everyone. I had a miscarriage around about 3 and a half weeks ago. I was 5 months pregnant.. I was wondering when should i take a pregnancy test? I know it hasn't been long but i started TTC about a week and a half ago after the bleeding stopped. And i just want to know if im pregnant or not but i don't know if it would be to soon  I dont want to get my hopes up and it be positive, but really its just the left over pregnancy hormone :( help pls. Has anyone had a positive pregnancy test just after a few weeks and it be real?

With my first 19 weeks it took about 28 days to get a negative test.
I didn't check after my second 20 week miscarriage
