Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

How light can miscarriage bleeding be?

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone can help, I'm so confused.
I was 5 weeks pregnant and woke up on Sunday for the toilet and when I wiped I noticed bright pink/red blood that filled the tissue, I was away and didn't have any sanitary towels so I had to use a normal yellow tampax.
After an hour and a half I leaked through this and managed to get a sanitary towel to wear, I only had a stain on the pad about the size of a orange in the next 24 hours with no clots and then only brown or pink discharge when I wiped.
I had mild cramping for about 2 hours when it started but since then Iv had no pain.
I'm pretty sure I have had a misscaridge as my breasts are less tender and I did another pregnancy test which was lighter than my bfp.
I suppose I'm asking could this be it? Could it be over? I feel like I'm waiting now for something to happen and I'm not sure if it will?
Iv contacted the epu and they advised to retest on Sunday and if it is still positive they will book me in for an ultrasound.
Iv contacted work and took a few days off as I'm too upset and also now just waiting to see what happens.
Thanks

I'm sorry I can't help, my losses have been a bit later on.

However, I think from lots of the advice on here that a MC around 5 weeks is often like a heavy period. I think bleeding from a MC can also be a bit more start/stop than a normal period iyswim.

It sounds like it probably is a MC. I'm really sorry. There is always a small chance that things are ok, there are some posters that have had bleeds early on and still gone on to have a healthy pregnancy. I think this is not that common though.

💐 For you. It's a shitty time

I have had very light bleeding and lost the pregnancy and also had very light bleeding and stayed pregnant.
I think you can only take the advice of the epu and go with it.
Flowers it is a hormonal roller coaster.

Thanks, I feel like Iv accepted it now but it's just the feeling of waiting for something else to happen that's fustrating and stopping me from moving on. Knowing that it can just be that light makes me feel better. Thanks

I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks and it was like a period - not especially heavy.

I had 2 miscarriages at about 11 weeks and there was a very big difference in what I passed on those occasions
