Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

4 day wait possible miscarriage

Am 6 weeks pregnant and wiped red blood this morning when I woke up. Went to doctors and he did a vaginal examination said womb was closed and no signs of bleeding however only way to know would be blood test today and repeat on Monday.

I have 2 bruised arms and feel empty. I dreaded miscarriage all my last pregnancy and had no problems. Could it just be spotting? I have no idea how I'm going to get through next few days without telling anyone.

It's such a hard time, but all you can do is wait I'm afraid. Is your DH being supportive? I would recommend telling someone- your Mum? Sister? Best friend? I wouldn't have coped if I hadn't had my DH being amazing, my Mum, sisters, AND best friend helping me through.

It really is wait and see at this stage. My sister had spotting, her baby is now 6yo. You can check your own cervix by the way. I did, which is why I knew something wasn't right. You don't need to go to the doctors unless they're giving you a scan. I think you just know sometimes.

I really hope it goes well for you.

Thanks I went thinking they might refer me for a scan so wasn't expecting this delay to be honest.

Have you been in touch with the early pregnancy unit at your hospital? They may be more helpful. Good luck. X
