I've just had my third mc (at 6 weeks), Just before Christmas I had a mmc discovered on a scan at 11 weeks, heartbeat had stopped about 8 weeks. Before that I had a blighted ovum discovered at routine 12 week scan in Dec 2010.

I am also very lucky to have a 3 year old DD, so although I have now had 3 mc's, they were not consecutive. I've been offered investigations at this point given my age (I'll be 36 on Saturday) and the fact we're now up to 3. Is there any point? It seems to me they were all quite different, happening in different ways at different points and therefore the likelihood is they are just random bad luck. Or am I in denial and I should take the referral if it's offered? I don't know!!! I'm so torn - I want to just get on with it and try again but could I cope with going through this again?!

I am so sorry Op.

I'd take the referral if I were you. It takes a while to come through, and if turn out not to need it down the line or it says all is fine, then great. However, I'd personally not close the door on that /preclude anything right now. You need space to recover physically and emotionally before deciding if / when / how etc.

Hi op
Like the pp said I would take the referral even if you decide not to go with it.
Keeps your options open for now. Good luck xx
