Thanks for adding me, big job doing that list thankyou Smile I feel like I don't really deserve to be here seeing what some of you ladies have been through, but your advice has been great, I did have a MC when I was 20 but this this recent twin one was my first whilst ttc/having ivf. Just counting down the days for ivf #5 now, it's dragging! Hope everyone's had a nice weekend

Sorry lauren, I just pulled it from what you had said when you introduced yourself. I should have asked for updates but I wasn't organised enough! You absolutely deserve to be here. Ivf failures are linked to similar issues and treatments as well, so you're facing many of the same things we are (and a whole lot more). I'll update my list for next time.

Oh no I wasn't saying info was wrong, I don't really class my 1st one as it was unplanned and a different partner and I was very young, but it helps when you are mithering the NHS Grin
It's 9k for a donor egg cycle so if I have RMC too god knows what I will do, Seeing the success on here gives me hope!

Marking my place. I'd much rather hang out with you guys, than the December antenatal thread, if you don't mind?! I honestly cannot bear their innocent chitter-chatter about which pram to buy, before they've even had their 12-week scan Confused
Sorry to be mean, I am totally on a different planet!

sebs you nearly thing! So much for giving up, eh?! But honestly, I'm so thrilled for you, great news!

Great news about your scan, diddly, the relief is sooo great!

My 12-week scan will be on the 29th, when I'll be 14 weeks... At least I'll have 2 weeks in France to distract me (albeit without wine or the soft cheeses, but still!).

march you must have a very tidy mind! Thank you.

My 4MC all at 9-10 weeks, after HBs with 3 of them. All NHS tests normal, genetics on loss 4 normal, so went to Coventry, diagnosed high uNK cells, treated and successfully carried DD on prednisolone, heparin and progesterone. Apparently the developing placenta is suffused with blood at about 9 weeks in preparation for taking over, so that's a common failure point if it didn't form properly in the early weeks.

I will post updates on Faith on the photo/babies thread, for anyone who is interested, don't want to de-rail here.

Thank you. I'm terrified. I think I should miss my period before I exhale and even think this BFP could go somewhere. Only thing keeping me positive is the line is strong. Will ring consultants secretary in the morning and see what happens next (my guess precisely nothing).

Can I just check re. Aspirin. I have a memory of someone saying it can interfere with implantation so not to take it until 8 weeks. Aspirin was the only thing the consultant suggested when I saw her and I suspect she will tell be to start taking it straight away. Do you think I should or wait?

Sebs if you can speak to them tomorrow about the aspirin I'd wait for the sake of one day, especially as you're not due AF yet (ie if you'd waited to test and you were going to take it from bfp you still wouldn't know, if you see what I mean?!)

sebsmummy1 · 07/06/2015 20:02

I just have no faith whatsoever that she will even see me. I'm meant to be under her care but I just can't imagine an immediate appointment appearing. I guess she might ring me or something.

Report
Marchgirl · 07/06/2015 20:48

You are right, the most recent research suggests no to aspirin unless you have a clotting disorder sebs, as it can affect implantation, but it's hard to know what to trust. I think just* had a link to the research on her blog.

Sad to say that I'm just a spreadsheet geek baking. I would in no way be able to remember everyone's stats from memory (although that sort of useless information is about the only thing I seem able to retain these days).

Sebs When I had a question about whether I should continue to take clomid or not when I was in post mc wtf cycle hell (started taking it as I thought I'd had cd1 but turned out to be spotting for a morning and nothing else) I didn't manage to speak to the consultant but I spoke to his secretary and she spoke to him and called me back later that day with an answer.

Thankyou March, lovely lady! X

Bagsy my spot! Love this thread, love these ladies!

Me 40 (sigh...)
Dh 49 (o.m.g...)
Ds 22 months (should i mention that he is the Messiah?)
Mc 1, natural, 6 weeks, June '14.
Mc 2, natural, 7 weeks, Oct '14.
Mc 3, missed, 11 weeks died 7 weeks, Feb 2015.

Have been on thread since mc3 in feb. Was on progesterone from 7 weeks (too too late) and was terribly depressed after it for a couple of months. Still havn't had results back as got referal from bradford to leeds as bradford were crap. Going on June 15th for follow up apt. Leeds have said they will follow coventry protocol though, so am now on progesterone from 21days post ov. Currently in 2ww.
I should also say that generally i get preg very easily. Too easily. My uterus would implant a friggin' piece of leggo. Useless.
Thats me! Fat and 40...

Minnie** goodluck tomorrow. Please tell me everything leeds say! I am there a week tomorrow. Are you going to ask about progesterone vs hcg? And if they will prescribe heparin? X

sebs congrats :) I was told low dose aspirin (75mg) from bfp. I had a large clot in 2nd MC and was told to take aspirin to help in this pregnancy, am 10 wks now and still taking it. Not quite sure your history (sorry) but so far, every medical person I have encountered have been very reassuring it's fine to take, but I appreciate it might not be for everyone... X

This thread is not too busy yet so I am just wandering in if that's ok.

I had a d and c on Friday, second missed miscarriage this year. I feel like I am lost, I hope to find some company here. I just keep thinking, did that really just happen again? I haven't even cried.

Is it that time again to mark our space? Thanks March for updating the stats, you spreadsheet queen!

Me & dh 37. One dd born 2011 conceived first month and straight forward pregnancy- sigh!

Ttc since jan 2014, 4 mcs since all conceived first month and most recent last week which was
Twins (yikes!) no official medical
Cause but lots of nodding medical heads that I seem to be super fertile as seem to have no problem getting pregnant, just staying and body letting any old rubbish egg implant.

Back to work tomorrow after a week off following eprc. Have next consultants appt at end of June to hopefully get karotyping results and see what if any treatment plan they will agree to. Also signing up to an anxiety in rmc trial being run by local hospital. Will also be visiting Coventry over next few months. And lastly looking into accupuncture.
Get the feeling I'm willing to try anything?
