Those are hopeful statistics. I hope people come back to give us good news.

Dr s' plan for me is 25 mg of pred from ovulation and to continue on that dosage and add intralipids from Bfp. With this pregnancy I didn't start the steroids until nearly five weeks so let's hope it makes a difference.

I'm a bit worried about having to use opks etc did you all use them or did any of you just estimate when you would ovulate from typical cycle length ( for me that's cd19 Hmm)

Also just doing some research. I'm apparently heterozygous mthfr, which Dr s wasn't worried about but I've picked up some methylfolate instead of folic acid just in case. I've also come across a supplement called wobenzyme which gets very good reviews with regards to helping people suffering from recurrent miscarriage due to immunological problems. I wonder if it's worth trying them?

Thanks for the new thread, and for compiling the stats lists. 17 pg, eh? Impressive!

More on my stats: I think I fall into a category of women who have implantation problems. I don't think I can get a decent placenta going. The only two pgs that got past 7 weeks were on baby aspirin (pre conception - not recommended - that pg mc'd at 13 weeks, baby died at 10 and was turner's syndrome) and my most recent pg for which I took heparin from 5.5 to 13 weeks, along with 200mg progesterone twice daily from bfp to 6 weeks, then 400mg from then to 15 weeks (weaning off towards the end).
Scott was born prematurely at 33.6 after repeated bleeds from 26.6, and, after my c-section, the surgeon said that the placenta was oddly shaped and coming away. My theory is that the heparin and progesterone helped me to get so far, but that the problem has always been in my ability to grow and maintain a heathy placenta. Scott is doing well in the neonatal unit, and we hope to be able to bring him home next week.

Me:

34, dh 33, 1ds 27 months. Ttc#2 since Oct 2013. Natural mc end April 14 @ 10 wks. Eprc end Nov 14 at 11+5. Currently 10 wks pregnant. On Coventry protocol for normal unk cells, i.e. progesterone and heparin.

Totally fed up of shoving things in places I shouldn't have to and daily injections. I'm super grateful for the benefits they may be offering, but really. Then on the other hand I'm panicking about stopping taking them. Just realised I'm due some more cyclogest. yay I'm getting over a bad cold and currently trying to avoid googling flu, fever, sickness and mc. Oh and stop start symptoms. Sorry bit of a pity me post.

brummie I'm sure you can overcome things with trying eod or few days (I'm staying positive). We've had some tricky months. It's hard. The pressure is immense. I always avoid telling dh when I think ov is due. After bad months we've talked about things and then come up with a plan of action like when we'll be dtd so I'm not putting extra pressure on by being a mardy cow when dh says he's too tired.

bubbly sorry about the baby bomb from your friend. Its always hardest with friends and families. After my mcs I always find the night times the hardest. Alone with all my worries and heartbreak. Even now I'm pregnant I can't sleep a wink worrying. Starting a journal sounds like a really good idea. Be kind to yourself. Have you thought about counselling? Echo march sod the family. They don't matter. You do.

I think it's time for me to de-lurk now there's a new thread & we're definitely "recurrent"... Embarrassingly feel like I know you all already but to introduce myself:

29 (not for much longer), DD, 3MC

The longer story is straightforward first pregnancy then 3 miscarriages in under a year. Seem to conceive quickly (?hyperfertile), the 2nd miscarriage was probably a blighted ovum as only ever saw a gestation sac & it all happened naturally starting around 6/40 but the other two were missed miscarriages after seeing a heartbeat on early scans & getting to 8-9 weeks growth. I needed MVAs under local anaesthetics for those. So I'm thinking perhaps an acquired auto-immune clotting or NK type issue. I'm also probably fairly PCOS-y (& the weight gain since the MCs won't be helping!) so could be hormone imbalance too. Last foetus was tested & genetically normal 46XY - is it wrong to feel more heartbroken when it's the sex you haven't had? Sad

I've been seen at Mr S's NHS clinic - waiting on results from that. & also turns out DH's work insurance will cover some investigations privately as a gynae issue so private appointment lined up too.

Currently on their baby aspirin, vit d, extra omega 3 & preg vitamin cocktail while waiting for results & whether to try pred from ovulation & others from BFP. AF took forever after the last MVA but hoping I'll have a plan/prescriptions lined up to start TTC-ing again this cycle - though Sod's Law it'll take ages for another BFP now!

Feeling quite anxious about TTC now so have a session lined up with a counsellor for the first time next week... & pinning hopes on that or I'm going to be a wreck.

Absolutely we need to love ourselves! Keeping going takes so much emotional stamina!

My short stats are below, and I'm on my phone, but basically five early MCs in just over a year after two successful pgs 12 years apart. After a break, acupuncture and Coventry (pompoms are getting a bit tired looking!) I had a successful pg on their protocol and have a beautiful baby Bertie to show for it Grin

The help, advice and support from everyone here past and present has got me through so much.

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 23/05/2015 22:54

sasha do you think the valerian has helped at all? My mum bought me some after I broke down after the second mc but I haven't tried it yet.

According to my gp I'm not depressed I'm just grieving and need to take care of myself Hmm let's see her try and take care of herself when she's working shifts with half the staff we had two years ago and dealing with violent, aggressive people who either want to hurt you or hurt themselves. I spent more than an hour last week trying to talk a woman out of cutting herself and the whole time I was thinking 'how come you can think of all these hopeful things to say to a stranger but you can't change the script in your own head'.

I so need a new job.

Anyhoo stats as always

DS born 2011 (few small bleeds early on but fine)
MC2 Aug 2014 @6 weeks
MC3 Mar 2015 @12 weeks hb seen @7 and 10 wks. Baby tested and was sadly abnormal.

Waiting for Coventry results and been prescribed high folic acid and aspirin by local RMC. Not taking aspirin though as bad reading with regards to causing MC and Prof Q at Cov said def don't take it.

Af today so first cycle of ttc starts now! Nervous, worried and trying to be optimistic!

Thanks for the new thread, wow what a chatty crew!

My stats:
Me 35, DH 36
DD born October 2012
TTC since Jan 2014
MC1 August 2014 (13 weeks, cystic hygroma picked up at 12wk scan then died 2 days later. ERPC. Genetic testing clear)
MC2 Nov 2014, 7 weeks, natural
MC3 March 2015, ectopic, estimated 6-7 weeks.
RMC is doing blood tests (no results yet) and uterus scan but consultant not expecting to find anything.

I really like the mantra to love ourselves more. MC shakes the utter core of who you are and how you relate to the world, and it's hard to find the strength to rebuild it. But we must, and we will. A lovely friend got me a necklace with this AA Milne quote which I wear when I'm struggling "you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think."

Hugs to all x

Hmmm maybe I should try the valerian.

sasha I feel so torn, I'm proud of the work we do and I've been with my team for six years so there are some strong bonds there. But at the same time we have been stripped back to the bone, we have had some very scary near misses. You don't have the option of saying 'I haven't eaten, I haven't had anything to drink all day, I'm not going to that call', if the call comes in you are going to it.

I think I've tolerated it for so long because my DH works on the same team and we can have our rest days together but physically now I think I need a break. Mentally I could do the job with my eyes closed but physically I'm struggling now.

mrsc that's a lovely quote.
