Most common week for miscarriage?

Hi everyone,

I had a miscarriage last year at 9+4 and I am now pregnant again (8+6).

What week of your pregnancy did you have your miscarriage? I'm wondering if people think there is particular danger week in their experience.

Thank you and good wishes to everyone here.

I don't think there is a particularly 'risky' week. I lost mine around 7 weeks; was discovered at 9.

Wishing you lots of love and luck for this pregnancy x

Thanks

I was told it is the weeks you would usually have your period.
Mine was week 10, I'm not sure if that adds up. I got pregnant again straight away.
Good luck to you.

No there isn't a danger week. With each passing week, the risk decreases so highest risk is the week between implantation and 4 weeks, then 4 and 5 weeks and so on.
If you see a heartbeat at 8 weeks, the risk goes down to about 3%.

Definitely no correlation with specific weeks out when period would have been; just decreasing risk every day.

I saw heartbeat at 8 weeks then somewhere in that time and the 12 week scan my bean wasnt ok, I haven't been told that it is 3% less of a risk...1st 12 weeks are all just as risky as each other in my eyes

I'm sorry for your loss angel.
The statistic is true and there is scientific evidence. 3% still means that it happens unfortunately, just as miscarriage past 12 weeks happen. But after seeing a heartbeat, 12 weeks isn't a magic number- it's just generally considered the same zone because it is when most people have a scan. Seeing a heartbeat isn't a guarantee but it is a very good sign.

I had two at eight weeks.

First time I hadn't seen a heartbeat already (no heartbeat at the 6 week scan). Second time I had seen the heartbeat twice (at the 6 week and 8 week scan, I miscarried two days after the 8 week one with no warning).

I'm still not pregnant again yet after my second miscarriage which was almost a year ago.

Good luck I hope it is all fine.

I had a mmc this week at 8.5weeks and they found a twin measuring 4-5weeks too that they didn't spot at the 6.5week scan, we saw a HB for the bigger baby at 6.5wk and he measured bang on for size at 8.5 so they think it had just happened, 4th donor egg cycle after 7 years ttc x

Thanks both, and my sympathies to all who have suffered losses, I thought failed ivf was heartbreaking but this is something else. I had surgical removal fri. It's just so sad it litteraly must have happened the day before they said. Anyway hoping for 5th time lucky. I'm currently reading every thread on loss on here and on Fertility Friends before I move forward with my next cycle. Had Immunes Meds this time which I think helped get me my BFP I just need to figure out the last missing piece of the jigsaw

I had MC1 at 6+2, and MC2 9 weeks later at 5+3. Period has just returned, contemplated trying again. Not sure.

I don't think there is a particular week, I've miscarried twice this year one at eight weeks and once at five weeks. Hope your pregnancy goes ok xx
