Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

I think I'm having miscarriage number 2. Can't do this again. How do I speed it up?

I had a MMC earlier this year. Discovered at 9ish weeks, baby died at 5ish weeks. After more than a year TTC #1 we were beyond devastated.

I'm now less than 6weeks pregnant after 10months desperately TTC.

About three days ago I started having watery pink discharge. This has now turned into very light brown discharge with some tiny bits in it. I also have light pains in both ovaries (which I normally get before my period). Last night I had cramping, but I was in such a state that I can't tell how bad the cramps were. I think I was making them worse as I stayed awake all night to focus on them.

Apart from mildly sore boobs before I tested, I've had zero symptoms with this pregnancy.

It's not good is it?

I'm too numb to be upset. The reality that I may never have children will set in soon I'm sure, but for now I just want the dead pregnancy out of me so I can get back on with my life.

Is there anything I can do to speed this up? My last miscarriage took weeks to complete. I'm not going back there again.

Can you go to your local EPU, you should of been offered a scan early due to past MMC. You may need to ring your GP to be reffered but ring EPU and explain first.

brown blood is old blood so try not to worry

Thank you for your reply. It's so hard not to worry! I was hoping brown blood was old.

I'm away for Christmas and don't have a GP in this area. I'll check the rules of the local EPA (self referral etc), otherwise it's a case of waiting it out. This is hard work x

I just wanted to say that I started bleeding whilst I was away from home. I called NHS direct who advised me to go to urgent care at the nearest hospital. They then referred me to the EPU and I got an internal exam that night and a scan two days later. Is this something you could do?

Thanks SarkyMare. I hope everything worked out for you.
My bleeding slowed down yesterday and I started to feel a bit pregnant (although my mild symptoms are very much off and on). Maybe I'm ok? Pregnancy after miscarriage is very stressful. Confused
Anyhow, I've decided to wait until I get back to my own city to have a scan. My EPU (in a huge university hospital) is a friendly walk in place and after my last miscarriage they told me I'd be welcome at 6weeks regardless of bleeding/no bleeding etc. The EPU in the town I'm staying in now requires referral through A&E, has immensely strict criteria about who they'll see, and is part of the antenatal unit (so lots of happy pregnant women).

Whilst I did see a heart beat at my scan and the same again the following week, unfortunately it did not end well. I think this was more to do with the fact my gestational sac was measuring small in comparison to everything else than the bleeding itself, so fear not.

Your EPU sounds quite good, similar to the one where I live actually.

Good news about the bleeding slowing down. Push it to the back of your mind and enjoy the rest of Christmas. Best wishes.
