Miscarriage at 3 months

Hello, I had a miscarriage at 3 months which was very unexpected as everything was going fine. I was admitted to hospital as the blood loss was too great so had to have some of the remaining tissue removed (worst pain ever).

But 3 weeks down the line i still have cramp pains, like my whole pelvic region feels very sore and sensitive. This on top of the emotional side of it is really making it hard to deal with.

Is the pain normal??

Thanks

Hi, I'm sorry for your loss Flowers

I don't have any experience to help with your question but didn't want to read and run. Maybe you could phone your EPU? I hope someone comes along to offer advice.

I am going through a missed miscarriage at the moment (my first) and the hospital are concerned as not all the tissue is coming away so are monitoring me. Just wanted to see if anyone has any advice. Sorry to jump on your thread OP.

Hi Kerry, so sorry to hear about your loss.
I'm in a similar position as I had a mc at 12 weeks, 2 1/2 weeks ago. I was also admitted to hospital with heavy blood loss and had tissue removed in a&e
I have to say I'm not in any pain at all now and haven't been since day4 or so. I think you should be checked out just in case it is an infection, 3 weeks does seem like quite a while to still be feeling very sore (in my personal non-medical-expert opinion!). Were you given antibiotics to take at all?

So sorry you are going through this...

I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks last year. I had to have an ERPC as i didn't lose the baby. Physically I was fine after about 3 days. I didn't experience any pain.

You should see your gp asap.

Take care.
