Pregnancy and ttc after a miscarriage

How long does it take for your cycle to settle down after a mc?

We want to start TTC fairly soon but I am worried I may have already caught Blush I have horrendous acne (which I only ever get when I'm pregnant) on my face but I have no idea when I'm due on, whether if I got a positive result it would be hangover hormones from the last pregnancy or would be a new one, when should things go back to normal?!

This is all new to me!!

I hope I haven't fallen pregnant yet because while I want to ttc soon I want at least one if not more cycles under my belt first!!

IME from MC at 8-10 weeks it has taken 3 weeks to get a negative HPT, and usually a fortnight after that to get AF, which is about a week longer than a normal cycle for me. I know of people where it's taken 10-12 weeks to get AF back though, just depends how long it takes your cycle to kick back in.
I think you need to POAS, if it's now negative you know where you are and that any future positive is a new pregnancy. If it's positive then you need 48hr blood tests for HCG to either check that levels are dropping to zero and that nothing is retained, or that they are rising for a new pregnancy. FX!

Hi Soured hope you're doing ok. For me, we started inactively TTC as soon as I felt up to it - no opk's, no trying to time things right, but no contraception. I figured that if my body hadn't healed then it wouldn't allow me to get pregnant.

It took about a month for me to get negative pregnancy tests after ERPC, I had one period 3 weeks after ERPC, then got pregnant that month.

Good luck, I hope everything goes well for you this time Thanks

For my first two mcs (one ERPC, one natural), it took about 10-14 days to get a BFN again, and in both cases, AF returned at about 5 weeks.
But it's different for every one and every miscarriage. How long is it since you've had your ERPC, soured?
I suggest that you test, and if it's a BFP, maybe continue to do so weekly, until you can be certain...?

There is this myth that apparently you are super-fertile just after a mc...

Thank you.

I didn't have the ERPC in the end as I passed the sac naturally (not something I ever want to repeat) this all happened 3-4 weeks ago.

I tested today and got a BFN which is reassuring as means we are going to be starting again from scratch iykwim
