How long before your AF returned?

I had a D&C yesterday at 14 weeks. The baby died at 6 weeks sad I'm just wondering how long it was before your AF returned and how long you left it before trying again?

I'd like to try again ASAP but think I need to get my smear test fitted in there somewhere as its been over 5 years.

Thanks, Redwall. I think you could take both iron and preconception vits. There's no reason I can think of not to take both (and if you are anaemic you really do need the iron).

NotSpartacus. Yes you can take preconception vitamins with iron tablets. I was on Floradix and Sparton whilst taking Viridian Pro-Conception vitamins (lots of good stuff including required Folic) and I also took Solar Homocysteine modulators and Omega 3 Krill Oil after my mc. It had all the stuff I needed to replace in my system following mc. Plus all is natural and not chemical based.

I hope you don't mind me sharing.

I'm in bits tonight. My cat has been run over and killed. I've lost two babies in a space of 3 weeks. I feel like I'm losing it.

Red wall, sorry for your loss.

I had a mmc between DS and DD1. I remember being surprised how little bleeding there was, I guess he did a good job. With DS I had a manual removal of placenta, I think they had a good scrub out while they were in there as it certainly wasn't as messy after his birth as I was expecting!

After the ERPC in March 2006 I waited for af, which must have been about 4 weeks later it then took 3 months to conceive. This meant DD1 was born just over a year from the mmc.

I had an ERPC in February & it took 8 weeks for my AF. I was going crazy with waiting. I can't TTC as have 2 slipped discs that I'm waiting on steroid injections for. If I get pregnant I could cause further damage to my spine. Friends & family have suggested this maybe why I miscarried, my body's way of knowing it couldn't cope with a pg (only found out about my spine after the MC). So desperately want another child sad
