An Angel Never Dies

Don't let them say, I wasn't born
That something stopped my heart
I felt each tender squeeze you gave
I've loved you from the start.

Although my body you can't hold,
It doesn't mean I'm gone.
This world was worthy, not, of me
God chose that I move on.

I know the pain that drowns your soul,
What you are forced to face.
You have my word, I'll fill your arms
Someday we will embrace.

You'll hear that it was "meant to be,
God doesn't make mistakes"
But that won't soften your worst blow..
Or make your heart not ache.

I'm watching over all you do,
another child you'll bear.
Believe me when I say to you,
That I am always there.

There will come a time, I promise you
When you will hold my hand,
Stroke my face and kiss my lips
And then you'll understand.

Although, I've never breathed your air,
Or gazed into your eyes..
That doesn't mean I never "was"
An Angel Never Dies........

I didn?t get to feel you kick, or look into your eyes,
I didn?t hold you in my arms, or hear your little cry.
I didn?t get to see your smile, or even know your name.
But, you?ll always be my baby and I love you just the same.

An angel wrote in the book of life,
My baby's date of birth,
Then whispered as she closed the book,
"Too beautiful for Earth"

A fathers grief

It must be very difficult
To be a man in grief,
Since "men don't cry"
and "men are strong"
No tears can bring relief.

It must be very difficult
To stand up to the test,
And field the calls and visitors
So she can get some rest.

They always ask if she's all right
And what she's going through.
But seldom take his hand and ask,
"My friend, but how are you?"

He hears her crying in the night
And thinks his heart will break.
He dries her tears and comforts her,
But "stays strong" for her sake.

It must be very difficult
To start each day anew.
And try to be so very brave-
He lost his baby too.

Lovely poem thanks for sharing. I did go on to bear another child and am currently a busy mum of 3 but taking the time to read this poem was still a lovely (if slightly tearful) reflection on the child that isn't here. Take care Beardy x

I'd feel so much better if my DH would just have a good cry. Makes me really Angry that he doesn't seem to feel the loss like I do. He may be just putting on a brave face, but it's a bit too convincing.

Lovely verses, though, beardy. I hope they are comforting you a bit.

Early Miscarriage

I will never get to meet you, or see u on a scan,
I will never stroke your little cheek or kiss your little feet.

It is so hard to swallow that forever now
I will never hear your heart beat.

For my little line on a stick has faded far too quick.
I miss you.

Angel of my Tears

How do you love a person
who never got to be,
or try to envision a face
you never got to see?
How do you mourn the death of one
who never got to live.
When there's nothing to feel good about
and nothing to forgive?
I love you, my little baby,
my companion of the night.
Wandering through my lonely hours,
beautiful and bright.
What does it mean to die before
you ever were born,
to live the lovely night of life
and never see the dawn?
Ah! My little baby,
you lived like anyone!
Life's a burst of joy and pain.
And then like yours, it's done.
I love you, my little baby,
just as if you'd lived for years.
No more, no less, I think of you,
the Angel of my tears.

I'll never hold you in my arms
Or cuddle you so tight
Or comfort when you're feeling sad
Or kiss you all good night

I'll never stroke your little cheeks
Or hold your little hands
I want you here with me so much
But it wasn't in God's plans

I'll never hear your chuckles
Your smiles remain unseen
And I am left here wondering
About what might have been

I'll never listen to your cries
You'll never say my name
But you'll always be my babies
I'm your Mummy just the same

Though your eyes will never open
And your ears will never hear
I'll keep you always in my heart
And feel that you are near

There's an emptiness inside me
Where once you used to lie
But your memories will never fade
My love will never die
