How much longer was your first cycle after mc?

I know I should expect a unusual cycle after my mc, but just wondered how much longer... Piece of string I suspect. Until mc, I was 26 days regular as clockwork, day 26 today, nothing, no sign of af. Bfn too, but think I ov'd later this month. Hate not knowing what's going on. Grrrr
Wet and miserable Monday mornings in the office don't help either!

Don't know but I sympathise - currently on day 33 post MC and normally 29 days. Had a MC three years ago and it completely screwed up my cycles for months, it was very frustrating. Nice TTC after MC thread on the conception board if you'd care to join us?

Hi, I don't think anything is "normal" directly after a miscarriage, people seem to vary a lot!
I'm usually a very regular 28 day cycle.
I had a Mc in March at 11wks and had period 5 weeks from first day of bleeding, tried again, seemed to ovulate as normal in that cycle, about d 14, conceived but miscarried again at 6 weeks, didn't wait to try again and was charting my temp at this stage so I know for sure I ovulated on 14 after bleeding had started, conceived again but unfortunately miscarried at 12 weeks. I restarted checking temps and seemed to ovulate on d 23, then had a luteal phase of 12 days before AF started a few days ago.
It might still be too early to poas if you ovulated later than normal in your cycle?
Hope things settled down for you soon.

My first AF after mc arrived at 28 days then each one was progressively longer each time!
32, 34 and 35 days. This month I've had a bfp but not sure how far I am due to irregular cycles since mc!

Hi MammaMo, I counted the first day of miscarriage bleeding as though it was AF ,so d1.

Well turns out I had tested too early after all, got a faint bfp last night and slightly darker this morning. Not sure when I ov'd so I don't know how many dpo I am. Does anyone know how early you can get a private scan? I should be happy but I'm so scared of having another mc.

Wow Suntodayplease! That's fantastic news, congratulations! I went for a private scan at 8 weeks (they didn't do internal scans, so that was the earliest they could do it). Wishing you lots of luck xxx

Congrats sun !
With my last pregnancy I had a trans abdominal scan at a private clinic at 7 weeks (well 6w6d).
You could see the little heart beating very clearly at that stage.

Thanks tested again and eyes are not deceiving me line is getting stronger how on earth do you keep sane during these early days? No idea when I ov'd so not even contemplating checking out due dates etc. need to get passed 6w3d first. I'm getting the odd twinge but I'm sure that was considered normal/stretching pains when I had DD. I'd love done more symptoms but I guess it's so early other that funny feeling boobs I wouldn't think I was pg.

I got AF today after a MC 5 weeks ago. Strangely, I feel as though I have turned a corner and am relieved that we can start ttc again. The last few months have felt like a lifetime. I had to wait 4 weeks to confirm if my pregnancy was viable (which sadly it wasn't) and then 5 weeks for AF, wondering when she would come. I'm sure there are more hurdles to overcome in the future but it feels good to know that AF is here and that we can start DTD with gusto very soon!!!! Watch out dh! Wink
