hi everyone,

I'm currently 6 weeks today and due 25 March 2013. On Friday i had some bleeding and got in touch with the gp, as i was still in my 5th week my dr said it was too early for a scan but they would monitor my hcg levels.

Had the first blood test on Friday (5wks 5 days) and got the result of 159 today. I'm due to have another blood test on Weds and should have the results on Thursday.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Is the current hcg figure just too low for a viable pregnancy? Should i be preparing myself for the worst?

From reading on the internet (dr google never a good idea but there you go!) it would seem that this figure is very low for almost 6 weeks pregnant.

Very scared at the moment!

Hey, I have had a the same sort of start to this pregnancy, having lost my last baby I was seriously stressed about this one! I pushed for A scan at 6 and a half weeks and wouldn't take no for an answer! Everything was fine but the doctor wouldn't give the pregnancy 100% survival rate. To cut a long story short I ended up bleeding badly at 10 weeks I thought that was it but she hung in there. Then I thought I went into early labour at 28 weeks and was put back on bed rest! She is still hanging in I'm 35 weeks currently! There is hope, just keep positive put your feet up and relax! Xx I hope this helped I wish you luck!

Hey, thanks for your post. Currently at home at the mo. Had second blood test this morning and seeing the dr tomorrow for the results but the bleeding has started again today.

Am now just thinking whichever way it goes I just need to know! Living in limbo at the moment.

Congrats you've made it through!
