I mc 4 days ago, was woken in the night with horrible cramps and woken again this morning by them. Having them on and off but just had
a few mins worth of really nasty sharp take your breath away pains. Feel very swollen and tender down below like someones booted me between my legs.

Getting scan tomorrow anyway but, is this normal or could I be heading for infection?

I would be ringing the doctor. The out of hours doctors round here are very nice and ring back for a phone consultation within 20 mins. They know more about it than we do, and they will know if anyone needs to see you. It may be worth getting antibiotics just in case.

I hope you're ok Foof. Speak to the doctor.

I'm in at the hospital first thing so will see what they say and then call GP if needs be

She said all looks normal. Only got vague rumblings of pain now so maybe it was normal after pains and I just didn't realise they can be as strong as that? Will keep an eye for other symptoms of infection though for the next few weeks.

I'm glad everything looks ok. I had some pains last night too, but they seem to have gone now. Must be normal.

I thought I'd stopped bleeding on Tuesday but then when I woke on Wednesday morning I had blood on my pad. It tailed off again yesterday (very brown and very little) and I had nothing at all this morning but then this afternoon I'm back to bright red although not too much. Feeling a few aches in my lower abdomen. Has anyone else had the on and off bleeding?

Starting to realise that pretty much anything is normal Lynz! Confused I start the day with blood, then brown cm, evening it's pink water, it's always changing.

Keep an eye on the aches and amount of heavy red blood though and if you are worried get it checked out x

Foof that's definitely reassuring. My problem with the aches is that I also have a bowel disease and it's sometimes very difficult to distinguish whether the aches are from my bowels or my uterus!! Thanks for your imput. X
