I had a still birth last Sept, it was the darkest, blackest time of mine and all my families lives. It is still so raw. The only thing getting me through was the thought of having another baby.12 weeks later I fell pregnant again but miscarried at 6 weeks. I finally had a bit of hope and now I feel even worse than before, all I want is a baby. Has this happened to anybody else? I want to try again but so scared it could happen again, i cant take much more heartache x

Hi,

I am so sorry for your loss and cannot begin to imagine how you must be feeling right now. I can understand that you must be apprehensive about trying again. I have only had one mc so far and have read that after 3 mc you are entitled to have tests on the nhs to investigate ny underlying reasons that may have caused the mc. However, I have also read somewhere that if you have a mc and a still birth then you are entitled to tests on the nhs. Why don't you go to your gp and mention this to them? Hopefully there is nothing wrong and you have just been unlucky although if there is it means your dr can address it before you get pg again to prevent future mc. I really hope you get through this and send you hugs xx

Thank you for replying. I didn't know you could be tested after stillbirth and miscarriage so that's good to know. I will go to my go and ask. Hopefully I will get there one day. It is just really hard to be optimistic. Are you trying again after your mc?x

Hi angels mummy, this happenend to us as well we had a stillbirth at 40 weeks then a missed miscarriage at 11/12 weeks but then went on to get pregnant and have a baby , I had tests for anticoagulant blood type stuff and took aspirin as soon as I knew I was pregnant. Have you been on the sands website ? There is a lot of useful information and support there. So sorry that this has happened to you x

Hi thanks for replying. So sorry to hear that its happened to you too. It's a really horrible time. How long after your mc did you get pregnant again? I want to start trying straight away but so scared. I had blood tests straight after my stillbirth and nothin came up. And I took aspirin the second time round but still mc xx

Hi angels mummy yes it's a horrible time, our daughter died in march , the miscarriage was in dec and next pregnancy was march , iI also took clomid for both subsequent pregnancies. Hope that helps, it is all very nerve racking and I think I just assumed the worst but hope for the best through it all, it sounds like you are doing all that you can, sadly I think the miscarriages do just sometimes happen but after a loss they are very tough good luck x

Hi everyone, I'm now pregnant again 6+3 and have been told I have to take clexane injections. Iv taken it for 3 days now and just wondered if anyone else has had to do this and if you had a positive outcome x

I had a stillbirth in May 2009 (after which I was utterly devastated for sometime - perhaps I still am) and then a miscarriage a few months after - and then another mc early in 2010. I didn't think I would ever have a living child by that point but I was pregnant again about 6 weeks after the 2nd mc and had a wonderful daughter born in December 2010 after a normal pregnancy.

Pregnancy is a real lottery. What you've been through is horrible but keep faith that you can still having a living child.
