i know i probably won't get many responses, due to the time, but i'm just back from hospital & i have no idea at all.
i'll try to keep this short :-
over the last fortnight, i have done 3 pregnancy tests, each with a faint positive result. i have also had multiple pregnancy symptoms.
today, i was at the GP, & was told to hand a urine sample in on monday morning.
however, about 6pm tonight, i started with browny-dischargey-blood, which quickly became bright red, "fresh" looking blood.
i did another test, which was negative.
as the evening wore on, the bleeding & pain became much worse, so called nhs24, who told me to make my way to hospital asap, which i did do.
i was seen by the nurse, was asked for a urine sample -tmi alert- which ended up being more blood than urine. nurse did the test, and informed me it was negative, but there was confusion due to the 3 faint positives i'd previously had. i was sent back to the waiting room to wait for the DR.
while waiting, she came running out the room, shouting my name, asking me to look, & "is it just my eyes" etc. the pregnancy test had a very pale positive.
in the end, i've been told to hand in my sample on monday, & get my gp to contact the epu & arrange a scan so we can find out what on earth is going on.
i'm wondering if anyone else has been through anything similar, and what the result was?
at the moment, no-one seems to know if i am pregnant, but am miscarrying, if i'm pregnant, and baby is fine, or if i'm not pregnant, all the test are dodgy & i'm just having a very nasty period ( which seems very unlikely to me- especially as i'm having a lot of symptoms, in addition to the faint positive tests.)
TIA for any replies.
