yep me!

Am 10 weeks now, and conceived straight after MC mid November, with no period. Just been today for a scan and all looks fine and bang on for the dates, so there is hope!

From looking around on the internet (my GP's were completely useless after the MC) it seems that there isn't any medical reason for not starting to try again straight away if you feel up to it.

Hope things work out for you this time Jaylee. With regards to risk, I didn't think you were at any particular higher risk after 1 MC, and have heard of lots of people going on to have successful pregnancies afterwards.

My pregnancy straight after miscarriage is currently sitting on my dog and generally rampaging this evening Grin . She is now 2 years old!

Hope it all works out for you - I was told that there is no medical reason to wait if we wanted to try again.

The nurse from the EPU phoned today asking me to do a pregnancy test in 10 days to make sure that my hgc levels are down, had two blood tests last week to make sure. She then said that i should not be trying for a baby until after my first period to allow my womb to go back to how it was. Well i was only 7 weeks pregnant so not all that much difference. Have stopped bleeding and desperatly want to ttc again soon more therapy than anything else.

Will help me get over things to know that i am doing something postitive to help conception instead of sitting around waiting.

I'm in the same position (I started a thread yesterday having a whinge about how my body is misbehaving Grin) I was told to do a PG test in two weeks, but no reccomendation to postpone TTC. I'm now only spotting (after nearly 2 weeks of bleeding/spotting) so DH & I are going to give it a go with a hope that we get lucky and catch the random egg! Good luck to you post-MC-TTC-ers! :)

Good luck, we have started trying, dont want to wait dont feel I can wait. The sister from the EPU telephoned yesterday to say that i should really wait until after my period to start ttc so that they womb goes back to the way it was. Thought sod this, cant be doing that so we started trying.

Yes I was pregnant again within 6 weeks after a mmc, and our beautiful boy is now 2.

Good luck! :)

I'm 34 weeks with my preg conceived after m/c without a period.

I was told the only reason to wait was emotional and we only had one half hearted try when I panicked at the thought of missing a chance and having to wait even longer...anyway we were very lucky and now can't wait to meet dc2.

I've since heard you can be more fertile straight after m/c but not sure that is backed up by fact.

Do what feels right for you- good luck!

Sorry this might be an idiotic question, it's all so new to me. Had an ERPC last Monday so a week ago. Pg test this morning was neg and there was a posting line on the ovulation test I did. Is that likely? They are testing for two different things aren't they?

Positive line not posting line!

Gwendoline
I got my period three weeks after ERPC so its definately posible. If your pg test was neg and your OKP positive then it sounds like you are ovulating. Good luck at TTC.

I'm 26 weeks pg straight after miscarriage at 6weeks +4. All fine - straightforward pregnancy. Was also told to wait until I'd had one period but too impatient - didn't for a minute think anything would happen but didn't want to write off another month. When I told GP she said your fertility's high immediately following miscarriage (similar to just after giving birth apparently). Only slight downside is that the date of my LMP is the date of my miscarriage which is a bit Sad but would be even sadder if it hadn't happened. So good luck!

I am very sory for your loss. I lost a DD at 23 weeks and was pregnant 6 weeks later with twins. I had bleeding after about 2 weeks so not sure if was a period as obviously had quite alot of bleeding being quite far on. I had no complications in the subsequent pregnancy, other than spotting for 13 weeks, and they were born at term. I had 3 other losses as well, 2 early and 1 at 20 weeks. After those losses it took us longer to get pregnant. I personally don't think it matters. We were desperate to try again after each loss so we tried right away. Good luck.

Thanks, that's very encouraging but sorry that so many people have been through this or worse.

I thought the bleeding had stopped yesterday, there had been none for a good while. Then there was a bit last night and now nothing again. I don't want to risk trying too early but I hope this isn't going to carry on. I was going to put a TMI warning but I guess there's no such thing on this topic...
