TTC after losing baby through Placental Abruption

Hi,
I've finally found out why I lost my little girl at 17 weeks- it was through placental abruption.
I have two huge fibroids, which the doctors thought was behind my heavy bleeding from 12 weeks.
But the doctors are not sure if that was the cause of the abruption.
Anyway, I am having them removed in January and have been told, fingers crossed, that I can TTC from around May onwards.
I will be 40 then and was wondering if anyone has been through a similar experience and have a happy ending?

I'm sorry to her this story! I hope you are well, although your heart might need some mending.

I dont have any experience of this, but did not want this thread to go unanswerd. Make sure you have people around you that care.

Hi, I also had a placental abruption at 33 weeks in which my daughter died, I got pregnant 2 months later and now have a healthy son, I also had to take aspirin throughout my pregnancy.

I was 24 and very healthy at the time of my first pregnancy, so goes to show it can happen to anyone.

Wishing you luck in your next pregnancy x

Thanks for your kind messages.
I'm under the care of both St. Mary's (reffered by my GP because of my fibroids) and Queen Charlotte's (Where I had my ant-natal care).
I can't TTC for a hile but will take aspirin as soon as we start.

I have had two abruptions, not fibroids though. One resulted in dd is now nearly 16 and ds is 10. good luck

I had an abruption; ds survived by the skin of his teeth because we were in hospital on a monitor when it happened.

I had a healthy dd 7 years later - dream pregnancy.

Hoping for the best for you.
