Is the hormone that kicks in to stop kids weeing when asleep related at all to early menopause?

A friend of mine is going through POF (premature ovarian failure) at the moment, and it turns out that she also had bed-wetting problems right up till aged 14 - when her period started, she stopped wetting the bed.

So we were wondering if that hormone in childhood is related at all to early menopause and if her hormonal problems actually stretch that far back?

TIA
