Hi I’ve been on evorel conti for a year they haven’t done much for me other than stop hot flashes. Any way they are out of stock everywhere. Doctors rang me and said no patches of ant kind are available.
Do you want tablets or tablets and gel . I panicked and said I’ll try without. But my skin is that dry it’s splitting. I have Gastritis so was worried about the tablets.
I have no idea what to do .

You can moisturise your skin, surely? Vaseline Intensive Care lotion applied after bath/shower is very good. I must admit I hadn't heard of HRT causing dry skin problems before.

The principal function of HRT is to prevent hot flushes and that generally works very well. It also helps prevent osteoporosis but there are other things around now which do that quite adequately.

I was on HRT for a while when I was perimenopausal but didn't feel particularly happy about being on it because of the very real risk of breast cancer. A few of my circumstances changed and I decided to stop taking the tablets. Flushes returned but they really weren't bad, the biggest difference was not having migraines which HRT contributed to so all in all I was glad I stopped.

You'll manage but if you really don't want to, have a look on facebook and see if anyone can help you get the patches.

No I ment I went on initially because my skin changed over night .

Did you feel better for being on HRT? I wonder why your skin got so bad so quickly and suddenly.

I'm so sorry about your chronic fatigue, that is dreadful, so debilitating.
I came across a supportive website for that recently, I'll try and find it for you (you may already know about it anyway). I don't have it but have known and know folk who do.

Sorry not to be of more help. I'm sure others will come along with suggestions.

I had some antibiotics and I got Gastritis just as I hit menopause my skin went from washing hands with washing up liquid to having to use aqueous cream. Had various tests all negative so it must be menopause. HRT gave me more energy
