I know but I can hope - DH's cousin is there right now so I can ask her to try - I just don't want to embarrass her

Yep I’ve bought patches & gel over the counter in Spain. I’ve found that the pharmacy often doesn’t have much stock but can order in for collection the following morning

Thanks - I am asking her to get me 2/3 months so I have a buffer

My memory is that they’re cheap about €5 each. I’d get 6 months.

The Estralis Continuous 50/140 is pretty similar. Same oestrogen, slightly less progesterone. (Evorel Conti is 50/170, usually, I believe.) The Estralis
leaflet says keep in a cool place out of sunlight - don't put on windowsills etc.

Alternatively I just ordered 12 weeks of Evorel patches from White Pharmacy online for £37.95 - although I'm waiting to find out if they actually have them in stock. (That's 24 patches.) Fingers crossed.

Pearson the examination board, who are responsible for BTEC, have suddenly changed the grade boundaries for Level 2 Technical BTEC’s on Friday 16th August. Schools will get Year 11 results on Wednesday 21st August. The outcome of which will be that most students achieve one grade lower than previously predicted, using Pearsons own published grade boundaries. More information is here; www.tes.com/news/btec-students-could-face-lower-grades-reveals-pearson?amp&__twitter_impression=true
There is an online petition available on change.org if anyone wishes to sign it. This affects Level 2 Technical Awards in many subjects including Health & Social Care and Performing Arts.

Thanks @autumncrow I wonder why the pharmacy were muttering about ice packs and fridges - my cousin is a native Spanish speaker....so it isn't misunderstanding

@Sailingninja I'd rather keep this thread about HRT in menopause....you can move your post anywhere you like tho' Grin

Hi,
Does anyone know the equivalent name for Evorel Conti patches in Spain. My friend is able to but some over the counter but not sure if Evopad estradiol hemihidrato is the same patch.

Hi Katy. I've lived in Spain since 2011 save for 2018-2019 when I was staying in Scotland. Anyhow, i was put on Evorel Conti in Scotland and they do not have an equivalent patch here in Spain. Trust me, ive been to 3 pharmacies and the last one the guy brought out the big book to show me. The manufacturer is Janssen and what my gynocoligist, the pharmacy and i have settled on is to buy the Janssen patch called Evopad (50) combined with pills of norethisterone acetate. The Evopad in Spain only contains the estradiol whereas in the UK the Evorel also contains the norethisterone acetate. The latter by pill is 10 mg compared to the patch being 11.2 so it's almost the same. It's the best alternative and I'm happy with it. If you want any, just write me and I'll be happy to send them! Cheers, Cindy
