can anyone recommend a tinted moisturiser that makes me look --alive-- awake but doesnt make me feel shiny and sweaty looking

I know theres a style and beuty section for this but I feel posters there are all 21 and look it

I'm 50, look tired, headachy, warm, hot, needing a sit down

I hate make up on my skin but people keep asking me if I'm feeling ok, due to being Scottish, pale and tired looking

can one recommend a light cream that makes me look semi awake without lying on my face and adding to the sweaty mess I already feel?

thanks

Do you wear moisturiser already OP? If so I would recommend Cover FX Custom Cover Drops - you can get it at Space NK. It's a pigment which you add to whatever skincare you already use, to turn it into effectively either a tinted moisturiser or a full foundation depending how much you use. I love it because it is so versatile and not like using a proper 'product' iyswim.

Also if you're pale I'd suggest using blusher. It can seem a bit scarily bright to begin with but it does make you look perkier Smile

I do use a teeny bit of moisturiser jenny so that might be worth a go

I just hate the feel of anything on my skin, it makes me more hot and sweaty and yuk feeling then I already am

I dont need blusher, I'm pale but go red easy

I use the Boots No 7 tinted moisturiser and am a similar age to you. Works well for me.

its the greasy feeling on my skin I hate, when I'm feeling hot and a bit flushed to start with

I use the Lacura BB cream in light. I am also of Celtic heritage and very pale! I don't like things on my face either and use it when I'm feeling washed out with a bit of mascara and a tinted lip balm just for a bit of vitality. It's about a fiver I think.

I have the lacura one, but it feels like it sits on my skin, I need something that disappears straight away and it feels like a moisturiser and nothing else

I know I'm hard work

The Nivea one is fantastic. Good coverage, lasts well and is mattifying, even though it's not advertised as such. I love it.

Boots no 7 triple protection tinted moisturiser. Really good. Also good half and half with normal moisturiser for a fresh faced look. And I'm v close in age to you too.

There is a Laura Gellar Spackle that's quite good - the tinted one, not the plain primer; it looks really dark in the tube but isn't when it goes on.

Also, have you tried Latest in Beauty? It's a beauty box that you can buy on a one-off and you choose which products you like - you can get 9 for £18 which is great as you can try out a few to see what works.

What about a tiny bit if a facial fake tan in your moisturiser?

Second the fake tan idea - Simple do a moisturiser with a little bit in, great for using for a few days just to take the edge off pale! Then go back to normal one until you need it again.

NYX do a drops thing which is like the cover FX ones but cheaper

I love Max Factor suits my skin well plus lady on the market sells it half price. So £5 for foundation! May be worth looking at their range. Its about £10 full price so not too pricey. Market make up ladies are fab as so cheap. Smile

Try a primer first then tinted moisturiser.
You need to try a few to find what you like. At the moment I like smash box primer and then oley tinted moisturiser.
Also have a chat with make up counter ladies ..they are usually very helpful.

I use Olay Total Effects Touch of Foundation with a very light dusting of loose powder over the top. It works well for me.

I really like H&M's BB cream. I'm dark olive-skinned and the darkest one is just right for me, but there are 4-5 shades so it must go to pretty light. It feels like a non-greasy moisturiser to me, but gives light coverage. And it's only £8 or something.
