Hi I'm just looking for a bit of advice for the last four months or so my periods have been extremely light a little amount of bleeding on one day and that's it!
I've been to docs and he weighed me asked me a few questions and took some bloods to check hormone levels. I haven't heard from the docs (last mon) and am due to go back next Monday hopefully after my period (I'm on my pill break!!)
I'm 36 weigh 155lbs am 5 feet 4 and have been on the pill since was 18 (micrgynon)

Why do you think it might be menopause? Could you be pregnant?

That was my first thought outtogetyou, have you or the doctor done a pregnancy test? Other than that it's sadly just a case of seeing what the results from your tests show, might just be hormones playing around, hope you get some answers soon.

Bloods showed nothing apparently as he already said to me hormones were difficult to track through blood tests. Not pregnant tested last month was negative.
I'm on my pill break at the minute just had a small amount of dark red/brown loss yesterday and that's it, due to start pill again Friday but doctor wants me to stop the pill and go see him again Monday to discuss further??

Well, if you're not pregnant (I'd do another test btw) and no other symptoms, why does it matter? Periods do change from time to time and as you get older.

I reckon I've been peri menopausal for about 8 years but the GP couldn't be less interested, they say "come back when you've had no periods for a year", I'm 48 and have a merina coil. My period started today, my boobs are sore, I'm tearful and my skin is shit. shrugs

I generally tend to just think nah it's fine but recently my DH best friends wife got diagnosed cervical cancer it's spread and is terminal she's younger than me with little ones and had noticed changes but didn't think anything (smear discovered it)
I know I'm being paranoid but thought best get it checked out as my mum had a hysterectomy when she was a little older than me due to growths and other things.
Just thought I would post on here see if anyone had anything similar/common? X
