Hot flushes/meno symptoms

Hi all
I had a tvh in Jan this yr leaving both ovaries.I'm 48 will be 49 next month.
I think I've started getting hot flushes but not entirely sure if it is that or I'm just hot iyswim!I get it in the mornings& sometimes at nite I wake up hot so throw the covers off theN wake up cold&throw them bk on again!
I don't wake up soaked in sweat or anything tho this HAS happened once but not to the point where I had to change or anything.
I've booked an app with my gp which is nxt wk anyway to talk bout it&also to see what my iron&ferritin level is now as I'mentioned anaemic&been on iron pills for 2months
I also think I mite be getting more moody lately though my partner doesn't think so!lol & i seem to have more of an I don't care less attitude bout some things.
Am wondering if I should try some hrt.we have heart disease in our family&also osteoporosis.

They say that a hysterect. can bring forward meno by 2-3 years even with your ovaries left.

It sounds as if you are just at the start. The hotness sounds quite mild. I'd wake up with sweat running down my chest in the night but the main issues for me were insomnia and hourly hot flushes.

I'd wait and see how you go. in the meantime read sites like menopause matters so you can see all the pros and cons of HRT. It is thought HRT helps prevent heart disease and def. osteoporosis.
