Menopause

How did your periods vary during menopause?

I've always had v regular periods - every 28 days. In the last year or two they've been regular but occasionally cycle length will vary. Anything between 24-35 days. But usually slightly shorter. I am now on day 30 with no period yet feeling like AF due to arrive. I am having really bad night sweats and they are usually when I'm hormonal ie at period time and mid month particularly. for those gone through this did your period just stop (my mother said this happened to her) or did cycle time vary for a long time?

All over the place for the last year and a half always a surprise can go anything from nothing for two or so months to 14 days apart
Have noticed no longer suffer period pain or ovulation pain so somethings changing No other symptoms apart from feeling warm at times
About time they stopped I am 57 so could do very well without lol

I'm 52. Mine started getting closer together first. Then every 6 weeks or so.

Over the last 3 years I've had substantial gaps of about 6 months. Then ill have 2 in a row. Hideous period pains and very heavySad. I wish they would just stop.

Regular right up to 52, missed 2 had 6 months of normal ones, missed a few more and last one was around 53- each time the bleeding was less and less.

I'm 1 and have had 3 periods in the last 2 years, all very light. Keep thinking I can stop contraception and then I get some light spotting just before I've been period free for a year.

I haven't had any periods for a year, 48. No ovulation pain and horrible night sweats

Regular until 50, when they started to get a bit longer. Cycle had always been 28-31 days, once I was 50 it went to around 35 days.
Then this year I've not had a period since mid January. The last few days my breasts have been tender and I feel a bit weepy, so I suspect one is coming.
I'd kind of hoped that one in January was the last ever, but apparently not.Angry

30/31 regular cycle up to the age of 41.
Drop to 28/29 from 41 - 43
Anything from 26 to 32 whilst 43

I still have diary from last year so at 44 cycles as follows: 28, 26, 30, 26, 26, 27, 29, 30, 36, 14 (!), 26, 29, 40

I'm 45 now and this year so far: 27, 25, 41, 25, 26, 27

I started experiencing quite bad perimenopausal symptoms at around 43 though 'PMT' and sleep had been becoming more problematic for a year or so before.

I'm very nearly 45 and my cycle has gone totally haywire over the last couple of years. The shortest it's been was 16 days, and the longest was 111 days! The last couple of periods I've had have been (for me) much lighter.
