2nd Menopause

Hi I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me. I had a full hysterectomy, ovaries etc, at 34 after suffering early onset of menopause and severe endometreosis. I was prescribed HRT and for the last 12 years it has been fab, then the last 6mths my body has been 'overriding' the HRT. I have tried changing the HRT through the GP and nothing has worked. I became so depressed I was in a very desolate place and as a result my work was suffering, I couldnt stop sobbing uncontrollaby, things got so bad I eventually had to succumb to AD's. Although I am feeling better now in a drug induced plateau I still am suffering terribly with severe night sweats, dripping wet with the need to get up and towel myself off. I have a fan on my desk at work to combat the day flushes. So my question is can anybody recommend either something they were prescribed or an alternative natural therapy that will help combat these symptoms as I am permanently exhausted from lack of sleep.

Sounds as if you need a stronger form of HRT. What are you on now and what has your GP tried ?

Have you thought about seeing a gynae who knows more about this than the average GP- many, IMO do not know that much- I've known people being given contradictory information from GPs compared with more up to date treatment from gynaes.

Have you tried all the otehr advice given to menopausal women- healthy low refined carb diet, not drinking, exercising more, etc etc?
