DH took these pictures last week. Moving countries was bloody hard but when I look outside my window I know we did the right thing.

yeah the politics of the place are crap (putting it mildly), not to mention the crime.

but it's home (I was schooled here), DH was born here.

Luckily, where we live, crime isn't too much of an issue (no greater than the average London Borough).

beautiful, we're off to camp's bay in feb for 2 weeks, can't wait as i sit here typing its 2pm and pitch dark with the mother of all thunderstorms going on outside (pretty spectacular from the 33rd floor)

Chicagomum - I went to senior school in Camps Bay. Now there is a place where you can see a truly spectacular sunset.

This picture is of sunrise, we face the opposite direction.

thanks dejags we were there 18 months ago on holiday and are returning to the same house, yes the sunsets are great we used to go down to the beach one across from camps bay (?clifton i think) to watch them, dh's dad is from cape town, his mum from j'burg but he grew up in london
