When meeting up take sensible precautions. Meet in a public place and let others know where you are going. You can also meet mums on your local site here.

So shall we try again for a Kent meet up?

Hey cadbury,

New to MN, not quite a mum yet, am in september. I'd be up for meeting in July or August, if you don;t mind me coming. I;m isle of Sheppey, but will (hopefully) still be driving at beginning of August.

Fio2 Thu 30-Jun-05 11:03:28

singleteenagemum, my ds reckons that only pirates live on sheppey i have no idea where he gets the idea from but apparentlky you have lots of buried treasure, oooo-arrr

Hi stm, how's it going?

We could meet up in your area if that would be easier for you.

We could do a Faversham lunch again if people would like that. My kids enjoy those. What do you reckon Fio?

Fio2 Thu 30-Jun-05 11:11:51

STm, if you get the train to sittingbourne, you just have to swap train and go next stop down to fav, would that be too hard?

singleteenagemum Thu 30-Jun-05 11:12:09

my neck of the woods isn't exactly the nicest. I'm sure i'll be ok to drive, so do whatever is easiest for everyone else. I'll be on maternity as of 29th July so after that would be good, but i'm sure i can do earlier if need be.

Caligula Thu 30-Jun-05 11:24:15

Maybe, depending on where kids are (might be at my Mum's if I can't get my act together re summer holiday childcare)

cadbury Thu 30-Jun-05 14:03:24

It would be nice to meet you Caligula

Fio2 Thu 30-Jun-05 14:49:21

I am quite scared of you caligula

Caligula Thu 30-Jun-05 14:49:58

Oh blimey, you won't be when you meet me!

singleteenagemum Thu 30-Jun-05 15:00:32

So have you guys met before?
How any kids has each of got and ages? Sorry being nosey!

cadbury Thu 30-Jun-05 15:21:03

Fio and I have met. I haven't had the pleasure of Caligula's company though.
I have a dd of 4 and a half and a ds of very nearly 2. Both pickles.

Do you want to do it beofre the kids break up or after? Just thinking if we wanted to meet in the weatherspoon again, is everyone happy with that with their kids. Its a no smoking area and we could go outside if its nice.

Dingle Fri 01-Jul-05 17:12:56

Jinx here might be interested! if it's in the school hols. Not comitting myself- something is bound to go belly up!

cadbury Fri 01-Jul-05 17:15:20

aw Dingle! You never know, things might go swimmingly!

Dingle Fri 01-Jul-05 17:22:14

I won't hold my breath Cadders!

Sorry I forgot about your party thing too!!! I was rushing round like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get everthing done and dusted before we went on our hols. In the end I gave up and have lots still to do now we are back home.
Got back to a pile of post, loads of hospital appointment and a few phone messages re DD!!

My mum is going back into hospital on Sunday too!!!

cadbury Sat 02-Jul-05 12:15:42

Dingle, the party thing isn't until next Thursday (7th). So if you felt able to come (or just needed an evening out) please do.
Hope all goes well with your mum.
