Sorry I've been so late in getting this organised, hopefully people can still come.

I'm coming up tonight for a week but the only days I can do are Tuesday & Wednesday as my mum as taken a couple of days off to spend with us.

Can anyone meet up on those days? And I'm assuming York is the best place for everyone?

No good as they are the days I work

Hope you all have a good time.

I can do either depending on time... what suits everyone else? Looking forward to seeing you xxx

I can also do either, and any time (as long as its not early!!)

Does anyone have any ideas where to meet? The slug and lettuce was great, but DD is much more wriggly these days so would probably appreciate somewhere that could show off her wriggles ... but I don't have a clue where she could do that

Does 11am suit people or is that too early? I agree we need somewhere for them to wriggle around, plus I'll have ds1 with me as well

11 suits me

11 is fine for me too. are we talking tuesday or wednesday? am just trying to find my thinking cap then i'll put it on to think of a venue!

Can we say Wednesday? Problem is my pushchair wheel broke today so I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to make it . And as I'm at my parents I don't even have the Mclaren with me. If I can't get it fixed then I'll see if there's any of my mum's friends who might happen to have a spare one I could borrow but otherwise, I have no way of getting ds2 to York.

But I will have a hunt just in case & see if there's anywhere we could meet.

The internet is a little dodgy here so I might not be back on until tomorrow, but hope you get this post!

hi Tilly, Wednesday's fine for me too. I hope you manage to find a substitute push chair by then

wednesday is good here. Phoebe has her nursery visit 11 till 1 so I'd be there a little after 11 after dropping her off. I'll check this thread tomorrow and wednesday morning - hope you find a pushchair but don't stress about it

it strikes me that that would mean I would be at the meet up without my DC!!! Would that be weird?

After the week you've had trace, I think you deserve a few hours off. If you want, you can bring a sleeping bag and snooze in the corner and we can wake you when you need to pick up P!

Hello,

I'm only just catching up on the thread so have only just seen this meet up thread! It just so happens that DH is going to York tomorrow for a meeting, although DD is meant to be going to nursery again for a settling in visit. Mmm, I'll speak to DH and check what his plans are and get back to you all. I'm sure we can put the nursery off for another day!

Any luck with pushchair mending tilly?

tillyfernackerpants · 01/09/2009 13:42

No luck so far . It will have to be sent off to be fixed, I just need to see if there's anyone my parents know who might have a spare I could borrow!

Should know by later...

hi girls. I'm really sorry but I can't make the meet-up now . A friend of mine died last week and her funeral is tomorrow. I'm not going to it but another friend has asked me to look after her DCs so she can go.
So sorry to pull out on you. Hope you have a fab time if it goes ahead...

That's sad about your friend trace .

Does that just leave me and Zoe if you can't get a pushchair tilly? I need to know whether to set off tomorrow as DH leaves at 7.15!

zoe Are you still able to make it?!

Trace, so sorry to hear about your friend .

jolly/zj I do have a pushchair now so do you still fancy meeting? The only place I thought of was the Railway Museum. Its free & there are a couple of play areas for the dcs to crawl around. Cafe is expensive though but there are picnic areas.

What do you think?

hi jolly, I can still come tomorrow (was going to go home via mamas and papas to finally spend my voucher from work). Is 11 still ok for you? Where is a good place to meet, in town or elsewhere!

Report
tillyfernackerpants · 01/09/2009 20:25

Meant to say that the railway museum is close to the train station as well!

Hello tilly and zoe,

The railway museum is fine with me! 11 is good too. We are on an early train but I'd like a potter round the shops before we meet up anyway.

Is there more than one picnic area at the museum or will it be very obvious?!

tillyfernackerpants · 01/09/2009 20:33

It might be best to meet in the entrance hall, but I'm assuming you're coming by train? If so, follow these directions & we should end up in roughly the same place!

I'll check my email, I think I still have the contact sheet, if so I'll email you my mobile number in case there's any problems.

x posted with you both! for sorting the pushchair tilly jolly there's a cafe area in the room that has the turntable, and a posher restaurant in the room that is more like a proper station - I guess the cafe bit is better for us

See you both at 11, I'm looking forward to it!

Oh, and I meant to say to trace that I' sorry about her friend and I hope her friends DC's are ok tomorrow. We'll have to plan another meet up for half term so you can join us

So shall we head for the cafe with the turntable bit then? I have to log off now but will check first thing in the morning!

Looking forward to seeing you both again

Super, 11am in the entrance hall it is then! The cafe bit sounds good. Not sure DD's table manners are up to the posher bit!

See you both tomorrow!

I've just checked the website - and the cafe is in the Great Hall (rather than my description of it as the room with the turntable) - that should make it easier to find!! See you tomorrow x
