Vous pouvez continuez en français, but it's easier for me to write in English. My wife is pregnant with our first. I'm half French / half English but have always lived over here and English is my mother tongue / preferred language. There were a collection of French / francophile mums here if that helps you. Perhaps try contacting them direct ? (We're North London BTW)

Hi Nanou1, erm... maybe my French is rustier than I thought, but I am STILL married to my wife. !!!

She is English and sadly doesn't speak French, but we're trying to address that. I am not sure whether I will speak to the baby in French or English. I guess I'll give French a bash as it is a unique opportunity for the baby, but English would be easier / more comfortable for me.

I'm typing in english (french is far too rusty to try) - I'm not french but I do know that there used to be a french toddler's playgroup in the Northfields area of Ealing.
I'll get the details from my friend if you are interested...I believe it was mainly english children going but with the emphaisis of singing French songs, counting in french etc...it was run by a french woman who brought her children with her.

sorry!!! as you can see i do need to practice my french hence this board! your french is good! i am trying to set up a strictly french speaking playgroup so that our kids can learn without learning. kids are like sponges and they would accumulate a lot of knowledge through fun. sorry once again about the "etait" instead of "est-elle"!
