vitality - that is a word I would like to have in my life now. have been feeling really under the weather and sick sick sick!

And hello nanau1!

Nanou1 Wed 13-Apr-05 14:16:14

hello there! you said it! this week not good week since i put back on 2 pounds... (have joined fat fighters in ealing). so let's cheer up and get into action! where do you live?

MrsBigD Wed 13-Apr-05 16:45:49

welcome nanou1
I've got dd 3 and ds 7.5 months and live near pitshanger lane

Yingers - sorry to hear you're still feeling sick. Hope it doesn't turn out like with dd and you'll be sick all the time! Alledgedly ginger helps, personally I can't stand the stuff. sips of lemonade and macaroni cheese were my salvation when expecting dd

Nanou1 Wed 13-Apr-05 16:56:06

hello there. can't stay must go and pick up india. will come and chat tomorrow am! by the way, have been meaning to go to the vitality show for years. can i join you guys for next year?! yingers - are you pregnant? grated ginger is very good and very easy to prepare. grate some fresh ginger into pan of water. bring to the boil and cook until water becomes of a golden colour - and yes, it must look like what you are thinking of! it works wonders for flus, stomach upsets etc. sorry ladies must go. will catch up tomorrow.

Slink Wed 13-Apr-05 19:11:59

yingers74 Wed 13-Apr-05 20:14:57

nanou - yes am on, only about 10/11 weeks, not totally sure to be honest. Will give ginger a go, once I can stomach going into the super market!!!!

jane313 Wed 13-Apr-05 22:27:05

you can get ginger tablets from the chemist. I used that and soacked shopped up ginger in boiling water like tea. Not too bad. Don't know if they helped that much but at least it felt like I was doing something

MrsBigD Sun 17-Apr-05 18:27:05

o.k. it's about time we try and organise a get together again

1 with kids and
1 without

so who has time when?

During the week dd is in nursery a.m. so after 12:30 is fine for us except tuesday when dd is doing ballet

bluebear Mon 18-Apr-05 12:45:33

Sorry to go off thread but just wanted to ask if any Ealing mums are interested in a nanny-share - I've posted under childcare etc.

yingers74 Mon 18-Apr-05 15:00:49

bluebear, sorry, dh would kill me if i spent anymore money!

mrsbigd - where does dd do ballet and how much? Also what age do they take.

does anyone take their kids to do a martial art?

up for anything as long as it is not too far away. am esp keen on a non-kiddie activity!

MrsBigD Mon 18-Apr-05 15:28:20

yingers dd does ballet in pitshanger lane ballet studio they take them from 3 years on and was £48 for this term. They do Actions kids on Wednesdays I think for 9-36 months.

Hi all...
my free days with ds are Wed/Fri.
Otherwise anyday after 12.30.. but only until about 2 ish (for dd school pickup)

Still on for a nightout sometime though...I fancy a nice meal.

MrsBigD Tue 19-Apr-05 07:49:57

so shall we try for next Wednesday p.m.?
Any suggestions on what to do?
Walpole Park if the weather is nice? Lots of space for kids to run around and a playground.
Happy to offer my place if the weather is awful. At least that way we've got no entry fees for anything (I'm pretty broke atm)

Nanou1 Tue 19-Apr-05 09:36:46
