Hi, I'm a first time mum of 13 months old daughter and recently moved into Wimbledon area. I'm originally from Japan but lived in San Francisco bay area for 10 years before coming to London. I'm still in the process of settling into the life here! If you happen to find yourself in a similar situation, please contact me!

Hi pine,
I moved in Wimbledon about a year ago and only just now I feel like I'm getting more to grips with what's around!!! (I'm also foreign by the way - maybe that has something to do with it?). I have 2 dds, 2y4months and 14 months and am a SAHM...

Hi oatcake and cas73! The mums don?t have to be foreign at all! I would love to meet local mums, of course! I just thought we could support each other as ?new-comer? mums. Being a SAHM can be isolating enough on its own. I?m also curious about how they are raising their kids to be bi-lingual.

Where about in Wimbledon are you pine? Or would you rather CAT me?

I'm in the Wimbledon park area. Any suggestion for a place to meet?

How about the Debenhams cafe in the Center Court shopping center? It's nothing great, but it means I can leave dd1 to run around the toys and can have a quite cup of coffee (dd2 permitting of course!!!)

Debenhams café sounds good! I?m going to be bit busy next week, how about getting together on Monday 25th or Thursday 28th ? around 10:00am?

Can I join? I'm free on the 28th and a few other days before then (but not the 25th). I have a 6 week old DD and a DS who is 5 and so at school during the day.

This will be interesting... Shall we say the 28th then, as dd1 at least will be at nursery so I'll have only one to chase around....
See you at Debenhams at 10:00...

By the way, how do we recognise each other?

28th is fine for me. I'm tall, dark haired and will have a baby girl with me. I'll ask around by username here.
