Not a local but lived here a long time. Got loads of great friends but feel the need to meet some new people- anyone fancy a get together in/ near Huddersfield?

Thanks GB will look out for next meet up then. Just feel sometimes can get stuck in a rut and good to spread your wings a bit meeting other people. MN's been so supportive to me over last year and a half since I started posting (not always under same name)would be nice to put some faces to nicknames!

Hi all, nice to find others near by. Yorkiegirl I'm sure we talked on MN a year or so ago (relationship thread- you were very supportive-I was under a different name then) I thought at the time from your name you were probably near by. Anyway, would love to do a meet up.I'm easy, will fit with what's best for all and their circumstances (children/work etc). As a starter suggestion how about a meet up just for us mums, evening sometime for a drink to get to know one another?

How about an old fashioned pub (where you can here yourself speak- showing my age) The Head of Steam right at the train station ( for those who may travel) in Huddersfield? Or if there are too many having to travel somewhere more central depending on where all coming from? open to suggetions!! Once we fix a place we can talk dates times etc?

What about Brewsters at Ainley Top (just as you come of Mway jct 24 at the first roundabout you get to -straight on.) It's more of a family type pub but in the evenimgs I'm sure you could get a drink and a chat?

Well, just to be awkward the Head of Steam would suit me better because I don't drive - get on the train YG, it takes 20 minutes & you could actually HAVE a drink...!

Could probably find Brewsters if it suits the majority better, tho' - I'm easy!

I did for the Morley meet-up, they're quite regular.

Honestly don't mind, dh can chauffeur me to Brewsters (& stick his head round the door as he is convinced I've secretly joined a coven...)

Hi CarrieG,
Thought the thread had died a death as went very quiet, thanks for getting online!
Are you ok with venue for 28th? At moment seems you, me and Bogwoppit up for it. Not heard from Yorkiegirl but from threads of hers I've seen she's having a difficult time at the moment.
Anyone else out there care to join us?
