yeah imade a few mistakes. I brought a friend and then met an old uni buddy while i was there. to be honest, she joined in more than i did cos shes dead confident. also i had no idea who was who and no1 really said who they were and who they were online. saying that they were really nice but too good at being mums and socialising for little shy me!

Can anyone help? My wedding is on 1st july. Im too late to order bridesmaids dresses and have a tight budget. Also one of my bridesmaids is at least a size 20 but insists on trying on too tight 18s. I cant find a department store or anywhere with 'off the hanger ones' that does them above an 18 anyway. Help!! severe panic!!

congratulations on your wedding CherryEm! I got married on the 1st july too - its a lovely date!!!

feel free to join in on the stirling meet up again. At the last one there were only 4 of us, so it was much less intimidating and easier to get good chat!

Im free pretty much anytime. so wheneva suits. I know of one place that will make one within the time needed (shes also 6'2"!) but shes not happy with the dress and neither is her mum. She wants to wear the debenhams one but it DOESNT FIT! too short tootight. Im just gonna need to be brave wi the MIL and her and sayu "right your wearing this one lets go get measured." I dread what im marrying into sometimes!!!

Hi CherryEm. I've never been to a meet up before and would love to, although I'm a bit scared - don't know why.

I've read on these pages from the Glasgow girls that they have a great time, so maybe when there's another booked in I might come along too.

Oh forgot to add that I'm nearly 29 - am I too old?

Weesaidie - The meet-up at Stirling Uni has been moved to 24th April if anyone wants to come??

I was really nervous about the meet-up too, but it was fun!

Cherrym - Go on.... come to the next one! Great to hear you're getting married. Have you tried Monsoon in Glasgow for the dresses? That's where I got my wedding dress.

Weesaidie - The arrangements are:

MacRobert Centre 2.30pm Sunday 24th April.

Will you be travelling by train?

Train or bus, whatever gets me nearer the MacRobert Centre! Is there anywhere in particular to go in the centre, I don't what it is?! A shopping centre??

If you tell me where it is I will check on multi map for directions!!

Thanks Toothache

Weesaidie - The MacRobert is a theatre and arts centre in Stirling Uni. The coffee shop there has loads of stuff for kids to do and big area for them to run about.

The train will get you to Stirling Station, but the Uni is about 3 miles from there. My DH is giving me a lift but there won't be any room in the car for you, or we could have picked you up at the station!

We'll work something out for you. Could you jump in a taxi at the station? The taxi rank is right outside and it'll only be about £4 maximum. I could meet you outside MacBob so you're not walking in all lost like I did last time!!!! People must have thought I was really strange walking up to tables of women asking if they were on a Mumsnet Meet-up!

i know just nervous cos my last one went so badly for me(which was my fault really). Im so shy. I always have been but my mates brought me out my shell and i was the life and soul. now i dont see many people just my DP, my mum a couple of close friends occasionally and the stressing, interfering, dramatising duh duh duh - inlaws

maybe id prefer it if it was just like minded people and a wee tad more intimate plus ill not be late this time so no-one gets to know each other before i arrive!!
