And welcome to all scousers, and those who live in and near this great city.

the old thread, was too long and tbh had become too acrimonious.

anyone fancy trying baby signing classes in Crosby next Thursday?

Hi MummytoSteven,

If you do go to baby signing classes in Crosby, would you please ask (I think her name is Jenny) if she has any plans to start any more classes in Liverpool? I have e-mailed her loads of times and have not received any replys .

I have even notified her of a few places where she could possibly hold the classes, but still didn't receive an answer!

There seems to be a great demand from mums locally (after speaking to mums at Mums and Toddler groups) to take their babies to classes but there are none at all in the entire area of Liverpool .

Please let me know what she says.

I'd love to go with you (my little boy is 9 months old) but Crosby is miles away from me (I live in Allerton) and can't drive - yet .

Fastasleep · 01/03/2005 15:03

I'm going from Norris Green...ok Allerton's way further lol but buses are easier than you'd think if you have a folding buggy .... I keep meaning to go to Mather Avenue, after Theo's hospital appointments I just sort of always ended up not going...hopefully coming next Monday - if it's not too popular now?

Hiya Fast,

Sorry to read about all the upset over little Theo's party - you must have felt really awful when people didn't turn up!

I've noticed the mumsnet team deleted a few messages - things must have been getting nasty - poor you!!

CONGRATULATIONS on your pregnancy - I hope you don't feel too shattered and sick.

I haven't been the Mather Avenue for a couple of weeks, but will be there on Monday coming - it isn't crowded.

Don't know how you get yourself and Theo organised to travel to Crosby so early in the morning - especially now your pregnant - hats off to you!!!

Take Care

k.

Aww thanks Browny, I'll see you next week... I think going out helps more than staying in, because I get more time to dwell on the sick and tiredness at home!

MTS what time and where in Crosby? I know I know we're not going till next week but still I like to get my map route sorted lol!

Hiya - here's the website with details of addresses etc:-

www.tinytalk.co.uk/baby-signing-classes/baby-signing-nliverpool-hamilton.htm

it's either Crosby Rd South, ChristChurch Parish Centre, 10.30 to 11.30 Friday mornings, or some place on Runnells Lane, Thornton, 10.30 to 11.30 Tuesday mornings. It's £4 per class. I will phone tomorrow to check whether the Crosby Rd South one is Thursday or Friday. I was sure I had read it was a Thursday, LOL

DH reckons that the 62 would go very near the Crosby one btw. I'll probably get the merseyrail to Waterloo station.

The Crosby one does sound good for the 62

Hi Fast,

How are you feeling? Hasn't it been really quiet on here - where is everyone?

Did you manage to get to the baby sign language class?

I'm going to Mums and Toddlers at Mather Avenue on Monday, if you're up to going - I'll see you there.

p.s. Get loads of rest, make sure he looks after you!!

fastasleep · 14/03/2005 10:06

Hey Browny ... I didn't get chance to go to the signing as I was at the doctors... then Theo got a really nasty tummy bug! So been busy he's still just on fluids and I don't want anyone else's kids to get it so I'm just waiting until he can eat normally again before we go out! Big sigh!

Report
mummytosteven · 14/03/2005 10:08

oh dear.. so how are you doing fast?

i've got a nasty crappy cold/cough type thing (S has a bit of a cough too) so not going to be going to baby type stuff until we sound less like Typhoid Mary!

I can't manage drinking the dehydration powder stuff... not sure bars would be that good! (The dehydration stuff tastes....furry...) I'm managing toast and margerine, a teeeny bowl of cream of 'something' soup cos I can't do lumps lol and then more toast at the moment...with the very occasional ginger biscuit... so I'm not going to be completely skeletal ...plus a slim-fast shake or two...yuuumm!

Poor Theo! and poor you too - can't be much fun looking after little man when you're feeling horrible too .

I've got my eldest daughter off sick today, she woke up at midnight, ran down the stairs, was sick in the hall, then she ran into the kitchen and threw up there too - not a very nice job to clean up - yuk!

My little man isn't well either, so I won't be going today - he's got a doctor's appointment this afternoon - poor little mite has a runny nose and can't stop coughing - I don't feel too good today either, this tummy bug thing is doing the rounds in our house.

Hope you both feel better soon, take care and see you soon

Aww everyone's sick! Poor things! Hope all our little ones get better asap!
