Anyone fancy this, McMudda, are you about?

Nat71 Tue 04-Jan-05 20:12:27

Hi gscrym. I'm new to mumsnet. Moved to Clacks a year ago but have yet to meet many other mums. Have a two and a half year old DD. R newcomers welcome?

gscrym Fri 07-Jan-05 09:41:51

Of course they are, the more the merrier.

Nat71 Fri 07-Jan-05 17:58:24

Great gscryym. I'm just a 10 min drive from Stirling. Let me know when and where. I will have to bring DD with me if that's OK.

ja9 Fri 07-Jan-05 19:34:04

Nat71 Sat 08-Jan-05 16:02:34

Hey, ja9 don't be scared - I'm new to all of this too

miam Sat 08-Jan-05 16:05:20

ME ME ME - never been to a meet-up before. Soooo exciting! I'm in Clacks too.

ja9 Sat 08-Jan-05 19:20:23

oh, ok then Nat71.

when and where gscrym?

miam Sat 08-Jan-05 19:29:14

And can I bring all the kids? (4 I'm sorry to say...) But they are all very well behaved, but can't say the same about me.....

Gomez Sat 08-Jan-05 19:32:44

I am in Stirling too. For a meet with sproglets can I suggest the MacRobert Centre at Stirling University? V. child friendly and lots of space.

miam Sun 09-Jan-05 09:53:55

That's a great idea Gomez (and I can lock the older ones in the computer 'den'!). When??

Nat71 Sun 09-Jan-05 10:35:32

Miam - 4 kids - I admire you!! I am expecting my second and am already worrying about when I will get sleep . Never been to the MacRobert Centre but sounds ideal. I work mornings but can do afternoons and weekends. When can everyone make it?

miam Sun 09-Jan-05 13:45:18

Hi Nat . I'll be able to make it any day except a Monday.

gscrym Sun 09-Jan-05 14:49:18

Let me know when suits most people and I'll check my shifts. The MacBob would be great, like you say loads of space for the kiddliewinks.

mcmudda Mon 10-Jan-05 13:00:24

Finally found you all!! I'm definitely up for this - need to find my way around Stirling now i'm new to this part of the world - I'm a Glasgow girl at heart!

Any day except Mondays suits me and afternoons would give me plenty of time to allow for getting completely lost!!

Meet ups aren't scary - just the quantity of cakes consumed. I've got a 2 yr old ds btw.

Nat71 Mon 10-Jan-05 16:23:17

How about Thursday 20th next week, say 1.30/2pm - no reason for this date but gives everyone a bit of time to get organised. I'm good at getting lost too so will try and find out where it is before next week if it's on

gscrym Mon 10-Jan-05 16:32:07

I can do that as I'm dayshift the next day. Are we going for the McBob or are we going to go into Stirling itself. I don't know what getting into the McBob during Term Time is like.

gscrym Mon 10-Jan-05 16:34:35

Just a thought, can we exchange mobile numbers or something beforehand. That way, if anyone is running late, can't make it at short notice then we can get in touch. We can do it by CAT-ing each other.

ja9 Mon 10-Jan-05 17:26:10

Hello y'all. Would you believe it, but i already go to macrobert centre on thursday afternoons with a group.. so altho' it would be a good opportunity to spy on you all, can i suggest we do a different day that week? Tuesday 18th, Wed 19th or friday 21st, same time and same place?

How about tuesday 18th 1:30/2pm?

Hope you're not all a bunch of weirdos !!

miam Mon 10-Jan-05 20:27:55

Tuesday 18th is fine for me. And I am not weird - my illuminous yellow shell-suit and shaved head blend in anywhere.... - it may be hard for you to recognise me so I'll carry a red handbag!

ja9 Mon 10-Jan-05 20:53:35

miam Mon 10-Jan-05 21:21:44

You think I'm joking??????

ja9 Mon 10-Jan-05 22:52:23

[fearful expression]
