Where in Cornwall Moljam?

Im just over the border in Devon, but all the Devon meetups seem to be in Exeter or N Devon.

no, and it was a bit naughty of me to join in.
I'm in Somerset, but lived and worked in Launceston for a year.
Loved it

Someone's put Launceston in the worst places in Britain thread. In fact nearly everywhere Ive ever lived/worked is in that thread!

cadelaide · 03/02/2008 22:32

Me too Fubsy,I feel a kind of perverse pride!
But I really did love my year in Launceston. Lovely people.

I drive through Camelford on my way to Polzeath.

XP and I had a car accident near there and had to spend the night in a B&B, when they had that chemical spill into the river years ago.

For some reason its always stuck in my mind!

Im sure thats not its only claim to fame though

don't forget me

Whats so bad about Launceston??? It's not wonderful but it's not that bad either methinks

Anyway Laaaansn for sure, I live somewhere with a very similar sounding name so I have to practice every day or get lynched by the locals . Then there Holsworthy just nearby = olsery

There must be more of us out there for a meet up surely???

I pronounced it Lawn-cess-ton in a shop once when asking for directions. I got a very strange look. DH & I still laugh as we're driving from Plymouth to Hayle about all the different place names. Is St Austell really pronounced 'sozzle'?

Must add Mousehole to the interesting place names thread too! Sure it's not pronounced like that though!
