Hi Lulabel,

I am not directly in reading but my best friend is who has a 2 yr old girl. If you want to you can CAT me and I will forward on your e-mail address to her and perhaps you can organise something? She has friends in the area with children who are aged 2!

Hope this helps,

Jules x

Hi I am very nearly definitely about to move to Chasey Heath nr Reading!

I have a girl aged 5 boys of nearly 4 and nearly 2.

I am due to commute into London so anyone know how long it might take me?

Would also love to meet up with other families as we are relocating from the Lake District so it'll be all new to us!

I think the actual rail journey is about 35 minutes. But you have to get to/from Reading and Paddington stations.

you'd better bump this thread in the morning!

I cant think of a greater contrast in the British Isles than the Lake District and the M4 around J10!!

I know NN, lots of people have said we are a little mad!

However, we are a bit sick and tired of living the rural idyll - that's the one where you don't have mains elctric, water, gas or drainage and the drive to school is 25 minutes!

I will miss our beautiful house amid the fells though. We will be renting and are swapping 5 beds for 3 and doubling the price!!

Dead excited about 'the move'. I'm pretty gregarious so looking forward to making new friends - DP is alittle on the shy side though...

commute by rail is about half an hour from reading station. the drive to london from junction 11 can be up to 2 hours on a morning! due to the so called rush hour!

good luck with the move and you can cat me if you want for a meet up. i've got 2 boys 7 and 3, and live in Reading (as i said below)
