Bar Napoli looks good. I'm easy about dates (sad git that I am - no other bookings in December yet )

Hmm, nothing in my diary yet for Dec, but there are family birthdays on 1st, 6th and 11th so there could be parties on those dates or the nearest weekends.

Evening is better for me. I can relax more knowing that ds is tucked up in bed. Christ, he's nearly two and I'm still rubbish at going away and leaving him.

I can leave around 7pm and would be driving seeing as I don't drink, so if it's in town then 7.30pm is fine for me.

I want to come!! Probably 1.5 hours away though and I don't know Edimburgh at all. Would have to drive as there's no public transport round here. Dh comes home from work usually by 6:30 ish. So I wouldn't be getting there til well after 8pm. Hmmmmmmm.

Sounds good to me nailpolish.

I'm easy about whether it is lunch or evening. I'll put the 15th in my diary.

If it is Edinburgh, then I'll get the train over - would just need to be sure to get the last train back!

15th December good for me. Not sure if you have agreed where to go but here are a few old favourites:

www.eloc.demon.co.uk/index.html fairly central

www.skippers.co.uk/ but in Leith

www.thedoric.co.uk/ very central

I am fairly easy on lunch/dinner but would I feel prefer I grown-up night out but can quite easily get pi**ed at lunch time too so not a major problem

You are doing a grand job NP!

the livingroom was mentioned for the last one. I've been there and they have the BEST sticky toffee pudding EVER in the HISTORY of the WORLD.

thank you.

Gomez - I'vw proven that I too can get pissed at lunchtime. I blame you for that girlie pink Prosecco.

i thought about living room and le sept but i thought we were going to keep prices down...?

Doric is a strong contender though, well done Gomez

my god, that prosecco was good, i totally agree with you there

I want to come too!

Maybe Glasgow ladies could meet and get the train together or do a car share if someone isnt drinking (oh dear, I cant drive )

Edinburgh is fine for me, but would have to get the train home so close to the station is good. Bar Napoli is great, (used to live near there!) but we would have to book fairly pronto I woud think asit would be popular at that time of year with nights out. Havent heard of the other places, its been a while since I went out in Ed.

15th good for me. Its my birthday on the 16th, so I could have FUN!

Report
prettybird · 25/09/2007 09:37

I'd be happy to meet and go through with you Harrisey. I have no intention of driving

Bar Napoli sounds good.

Hiya, there are a few of us on the north of the border thread that live in Glasgow/Edinburgh - would it be ok if we came too?

Report
prettybird · 25/09/2007 09:43

Of course - that is what the "Meet-up" topic is for, to encourage people to get together!

Report
Eulalia · 25/09/2007 09:49

Hi, would be interested, would take the train though as a long drive from here. May even see about staying over as the train is quite expensive for just one day.

Is this something we can take our children to?
