Bar Napoli looks good. I'm easy about dates (sad git that I am - no other bookings in December yet blush)

mawbroon Mon 24-Sep-07 12:09:34

Hmm, nothing in my diary yet for Dec, but there are family birthdays on 1st, 6th and 11th so there could be parties on those dates or the nearest weekends.

nailpolish envy at Take That blush

nailpolish Mon 24-Sep-07 12:28:31

hsall we be brave and have a provisional date saturday 15th dec?

nailpolish Mon 24-Sep-07 12:29:09

Evening is better for me. I can relax more knowing that ds is tucked up in bed. Christ, he's nearly two and I'm still rubbish at going away and leaving him. blush

nailpolish Mon 24-Sep-07 13:25:55

what time is best mawbroon?
<passes scissors for apron strings>

mawbroon Mon 24-Sep-07 13:35:33

I can leave around 7pm and would be driving seeing as I don't drink, so if it's in town then 7.30pm is fine for me.

bobsmum Mon 24-Sep-07 13:40:50

I want to come!! Probably 1.5 hours away though and I don't know Edimburgh at all. Would have to drive as there's no public transport round here. Dh comes home from work usually by 6:30 ish. So I wouldn't be getting there til well after 8pm. Hmmmmmmm.

i have pangs of guilt cos i am going to see TT and then swanning off to london the following weekend blush

so i had better give it a fortnight before i have this night ooot

so can you all put it in your diaries for the 15th
we can always change later
but i think if we do have it then ill need to book pronto

nailpolish Mon 24-Sep-07 14:00:14

er blush thats if no-one minds me booking and organising

prettybird Mon 24-Sep-07 16:02:41

Sounds good to me nailpolish.

I'm easy about whether it is lunch or evening. I'll put the 15th in my diary.

If it is Edinburgh, then I'll get the train over - would just need to be sure to get the last train back!

purplemonkeydishwasher Mon 24-Sep-07 21:37:57

phew! i had to check that it didn't conflict with cbeebies live hmm but that#s on the 11th so I'M IN!

would prefer lunch but whatever everyone else wants I#m in for.

gomez Mon 24-Sep-07 22:04:52

15th December good for me. Not sure if you have agreed where to go but here are a few old favourites: fairly central but in Leith very central

I am fairly easy on lunch/dinner but would I feel prefer I grown-up night out but can quite easily get pi**ed at lunch time too so not a major problem smile

You are doing a grand job NP!

purplemonkeydishwasher Mon 24-Sep-07 22:12:26

the livingroom was mentioned for the last one. I've been there and they have the BEST sticky toffee pudding EVER in the HISTORY of the WORLD.

thank you.

prettybird Mon 24-Sep-07 22:28:43

Gomez - I'vw proven that I too can get pissed at lunchtimeblush. I blame you for that girlie pink Prosecco.

nailpolish Tue 25-Sep-07 09:14:29

i thought about living room and le sept but i thought we were going to keep prices down...?

Doric is a strong contender though, well done Gomez

my god, that prosecco was good, i totally agree with you there grin

harrisey Tue 25-Sep-07 09:18:51

I want to come too!

Maybe Glasgow ladies could meet and get the train together or do a car share if someone isnt drinking (oh dear, I cant drive )

Edinburgh is fine for me, but would have to get the train home so close to the station is good. Bar Napoli is great, (used to live near there!) but we would have to book fairly pronto I woud think asit would be popular at that time of year with nights out. Havent heard of the other places, its been a while since I went out in Ed.

15th good for me. Its my birthday on the 16th, so I could have FUN!

prettybird Tue 25-Sep-07 09:37:42

I'd be happy to meet and go through with you Harrisey. I have no intention of driving grin

Bar Napoli sounds good.

geordiemacminx Tue 25-Sep-07 09:40:34

Hiya, there are a few of us on the north of the border thread that live in Glasgow/Edinburgh - would it be ok if we came too?

prettybird Tue 25-Sep-07 09:43:56

Of course - that is what the "Meet-up" topic is for, to encourage people to get together!
