and if so, who is going to help me organise it.

I don't mind putting in the legwork, but I don't really know anywhere so if it is down to me we'll end up in McDonalds with 5 hours to kill

and don't think you can ignore me, I will keep bumping this until someone responds!

If I lived closer I would come to London meet eleusis, but it will cost me lots and it's too long a journey and I have this little boy that likes to sob if I leave the room! Am sure most of us have similar reasons.

One of you needs to think about where to go, because if it's up to me we'll all go to the lovely little pub in the old town that dp discovered the other week (real ale, heated patio, olde worlde charm - actually, doesn't sound such a bad idea!)

And we need a date

am also looking forward to Christmas now

What pub is it squonk? The danger with prebooked xmas meals is geting some frozen then reheated crap. This pub of yours sounds promiing for homemade food! {whispers...plus the ale sounds good}

shandies for you J2O!
J2O - baby mindee not here so may not be coming, when I hear from mum will text you.

Ah yes - I first frequented said pub 20 years ago - and I am only 24! It is nice and central too for everyone to get to.

Give em a ring and ask if they will do us a booked xmas meal. If they do we can try and get a date sorted.

okey dokey.

Might be an idea to wait till a bit later in the day though

Will ring them at lunch-time
(or I'll pop in dp's car and drive there to ask them - well, it would be rude not to buy a pint while I was there, wouldn't it! )

ok doke kay.

yeah, that pub sound ok to me, didn't know they did food.

Report
fryalot · 11/09/2007 09:15

have been looking at the web-site and it looks like they only do food at lunch-time. Will ring them later anyway, but can anyone think of somewhere else?

(and it looks like you, me, kaysamuels and smurfgirl so far)
