i give him finger food and try to make the same meals for him same as the family veg etc

First of all -0 don't panic. Its perfectly normal.

Keep doing what you are doing and don't fall into the trap of making him different meals to you.

it's probably because he isn't growing as fast now and doesn't need as much food.

If you can sit it out I'm sure it's best - try not to watch what he eats! Just put it there, then clear away afterwards. If you think he's not eating enough, watch his weight, and energy levels! If he's charging around then he's probably not short on food!
